NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to the Government code of the State of
California, that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco will hold a
special meeting on Thursday, June I, 1972, at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Conference
Room, City Hall, South San Francisco, California.
Proposed Council Actions:
I. Review Matters related to Budget
2. Review Matters related to Employer-Employee Negotiations
for the purpose of instructing the City's Representative

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the following items will be added to the
agenda of the Special Meeting called for June I, 1972, 7:3G o'clock p.m. in the
Council Conference Room, City Hall, South San Francisco, California.

~The meeting was called to order by Mayor Mammini at 7:45 p.m.
Present: Councilmen Patrick E. Ahern, Gordon T. Boblitt, F. Frank
Mammini, William A. Borba and Warren STeinkamp
Absent: None
The first item concerned the budget request of the Chamber of Commerce.
A lengthy discussion followed at which time Mr. John Penna, President
of the Chamber of Commerce, outlined the ~roposed program of the
Chamber for the coming year and the need for the requested additional
funds.
Discussion followed between the Members of the City Council, Mr. Penna
and other representatives of the Chamber, during which time it was
mentioned by the Mayor and Members of the City Council that some of the
proposed Chamber projects were already under way by City Staff.

Upon conclusion of the discussions and there being no objections,
Mayor Mammini requested that the Chamber of Commerce prepare a budget
in detail and resubmit the matter to Council for consideration.
City Attorney Noonan next explained the resolution which had been
prepared honoring the 25th Anniversary of the Sons of Italy.
Councilman Ahern introduced the resolution entitled: "A RESOLUTION
HONORING THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF SONS OF ITALY IN AMERICA #1956."
Roll call vote was as follows: Ayes, Councilmen Patrick E. Ahern,
Gordon T. Boblitt, William A. Borba, F. Frank Mammini and Warren
Steinkamp. Noes, none. Absent, none.
ME:TING RECESS' Mayor Mammini then announced that the meeting would be recessed to

There being nothing further, Mayor Mammini adjourned the Special
Meeting to Monday, June 5, 1972, at 7:00 p.m. in the Conference Room
for Labor Negotiations.
