The meeting was called to order by Mayor Battaglia at
7:27 PM.
The Pledge of Allegiance to Flag was recited.
Mayor Battaglia asked for a moment of silent prayer.
Present: Councilmen Richard A. Battaglia, F. Frank Mammini,
Terry J. Mirri, Leo Padreddii and Warren Steinkamp.
Absent: None.
Mayor Battaglia asked if there was a motion approving
the Regular Bills of July 2, 1975.
Councilman Steinkamp moved, seconded by Councilman Padreddii
and regularly carried that the Regular Bills of July 2, 1975
be approved for payment as submitted.
Mayor Battaglia asked if there was a motion approving the
Minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 18, 1975.
Councilman Mammini moved, seconded by Councilman Steinkamp
and regularly carried that the Minutes of the Regular
Meeting of June 18, 1975 be approved as submitted.
Staff Report, dated July 2, 1975, recommending Council
call bids for library books.
Councilman Mammini introduced a resolution entitled: A
RESOLUTION APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS AND CALLING BIDS FOR
LIBRARY BOOKS.
Roll Call Vote was as follows: Ayes, Councilmen Richard A.
Battaglia, F. Frank Mammini, Terry J. Mirri, Leo Padreddii
and Warren Steinkamp. Noes, none. Absent, none.
Staff Report, dated July 2, 1975, recommending Council
call bids for liquid chlorine for use at the Sewage
Treatment Plant.

RELIEF ACT
Staff Report, dated July 2, 1975, recommending Council
authorize the Director of Public Services and City Planner
to execute certifications of requirements, expenditures
and obligations as pertains to Public Law 93-288, Federal
Disaster Relief Act.
Councilman Mammini introduced a resolution entitled:

CIVIL PREPAREDNESS
Staff Report, dated July 2, 1975, recommending Council
approve by motion acceptance of and agreement with the
civil preparedness recommendations as set forth in the
report entitled, "Civil Preparedness On-Site Assistance
Summary and Recommendations."
Councilman Mammini moved, seconded by Councilman Steinkamp
and regularly carried that the recommendation of the
City Manager be approved and accepted.

CONFIRMING REASSESS-
MENT
Public Hearing -- Antoinette Lane Street Opening Project -
Assessment District - Supplemental Assessment Reassessment.
Mayor Battaglia declared the public hearing opened.
Acknowledged was the letter of protest received from
Hoge, Fenton, Jones & Appel, Inc., dated June 26, 1975,
in behalf of William R. Lewis doing business as Broadway
Investment Company, owner of Camino East Apartments.
After a brief explanation by Mr. Ken Jones, the attorney
for the assessment district, and there being no further
protests Mayor Battaglia declared the public hearing
closed.
Councilman Mammini introduced a resolution entitled:
A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING REASSESSMENT.
Roll Call Vote was as follows: Ayes, Councilmen Richard A.

Staff Report, dated July 2, 1975, recommending Council
accept the street improvements for portions of Tanforan
Avenue and South Maple Avenue.
Councilman Mammini moved, seconded by Councilman Steinkamp
and regularly carried that the recommendation of the
Director of Public Services be approved and accepted.
Staff Report, dated July 2, 1975, recommending Council
accept the Removal or Demolition and Disposal of Existing
Structures at 936 Grand Avenue on the Public Safety Site,
Project No. PB-74-2, by Coast Movers as complete in accordance
with the approved plans and specifications.
Councilman Mammini moved, seconded by Councilman Steinkamp
and regularly carried that the recommendation of the
Director of Public Services be approved and accepted.
Staff Report, dated July 2, 1975, recommending Council
accept 1974 Heavy Equipment Rental and Usage for Dredging
Sand from Colma Creek, Contract A, Project No. SD-74-6,
by Atkinson Enterprises as complete in accordance with
the approved plans and specifications.
Councilman Mammini moved, seconded by Councilman Steinkamp
and regularly carried that the recommendation of the
Director of Public Services be approved and accepted.
Staff Report, dated July 2, 1975, recommending Council
accept the 1974 Light Equipment Rental and Usage for
Dredging Sand from the Colma Creek Tributaries, Contract B,
Project No. SD-74-6, by Venturini Corporation as complete
in accordance with the approved plans and specifications.
Councilman Mammini moved, seconded by Councilman Steinkamp
and regularly carried that the recommendation of the
Director of Public Services be approved and accepted.
Staff Report, dated July 2, 1975, recommending Council
direct Staff to prepare response to letter from Mrs. Van Velsor
concerning San Francisco Internation Airport Expansion.
Councilman Mammini moved, seconded by Councilman Steinkamp
and regularly carried that the recommendation of the
Director of Public Services be approved and accepted.

ITEMS FROM COUNCIL
There being no items from Staff, Mayor Battaglia asked if
there were any items from Council.
RESOLUTION IN MEMORY
OF FORMER POLICE CHIEF
JOHN FABBRI
Councilman Padreddii requested that this evening's meeting
be adjourned in memory of former Police Chief John Fabbri.
The City Manager requested that Council adopt a resolution
in Chief Fabbri's memory at the next regular Council meeting.
RETIRED MEMBERS OF
BDS. & COMMS.
In answer to Council's inquiry concerning resolution
honoring retired members of Boards and Commissions the
City Manager commented a list was being compiled.
EMPLOYEE PINS

In answer to Councilman Padreddii's inquiry concerning
employee pins the Assistant to the City Manager explained
how this was being handled.
JULY 4TH HOLIDAY

Councilman Steinkamp extended safe and sane holiday
greetings for the 4th of July.
DONATION OF
BICENTENNIAL FLAG
Mayor Battaglia expressed his thanks to the Soroptomist
Club for their donation of a Bicentennial Flag which the
City would be flying over the 4th of July and the remaining
year.
RECESS
There being nothing under Good and Welfare Mayor Battaglia
recessed the meeting to an Executive Personnel Session
at 7:50 PM.
RECALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was recalled to order by Mayor Battaglia at
8:52 PM with all Council present.
Mayor Battaglia announced that the purpose of the Executive
Personnel Session was to instruct Staff on labor negotiations.
ADJOURNMENT
There being nothing further to come before Council Mayor
Battaglia adjourned the meeting in memory of former Police
Chief John Fabbri. Time of adjournment was 8:55 PM.
