The meeting was called to order by Mayor Borba at 4:45 PM.
The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited.
Present:
Councilmen Ronald G. Acosta, William A. Borba,
Emanuele N. Damonte and Terry J. Mirri,
Councilwoman Roberta Cerri Teglia.
Absent: None.
The City Attor.~ey, by the use of an aerial map and plat,
explained to Council the property in question which the
City owned and was offering to quitclaim. He then
explained the prior ownership of the property as well
as the construction of a combination tool house and
garag~ on the property. He suggested that if the City
were to quitclaim the property, they retain a 20 foot
easement in the event Tennis Drive were to be widened
and that Mr. Meidenger be required to pay the City
$500 or $1,000 for the land to be dedicated.
A real estate broker representing Mr. Meidenger stated
that his client always was of the impression that the
property was his and that it was kept in neat condition.
He stated that Mr. Meidenger did not feel that he should
be obliged to pay anything for the property due to the
expenses he had already incurred.
After some discussion between Counciland staff, Mr.
Meidenger agreed to the $1,000 stipulated fee.
Councilman Mirri then introduced a resolution entitled:
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A QUITCLAIM DEED
TO AUGUST MEIDENGER OF 0.05 AC MOL ADJACENT TO LOT 28
BLOCK 2 OF CITY PARK ADDITION.
Roll call vote was as follows: Ayes, Councilmen William A.
Borba and Terry J. Mirri. Noes, Councilmen Ronald G. Acosta
and Emanuele N. Damunte, Councilwoman Roberta Cerri Teglia.
Absent, none.
ADJOURNMENT
There being nothing further to come be£bre Council,
Councilman Damonte moved, seconded by Councilwoman Teglia
that the meeting be adjourned to May 31, 1978 at 7:00 PM
in the Council Conference Room.
Time of adjournment was 5:37 PM.
