HomeMy WebLinkAboutSuccessor Reso 07-2015 RESOLUTION NO. 07-2015 RESOLUTION OF THE SUCCESSOR AGENCY TO THE FORMER REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO OVERSIGHT BOARD ADOPT A RESOLUTION APPROVING A LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE SUCCESSOR AGENCY AND THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO TO LEASE THE GROUND FLOOR SPACE AT 306 SPRUCE AVENUE AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE SAID LEASE AGREEMENT. WHEREAS,on May 2,2011,the City of South San Francisco("City")acquired that certain real property located at 306 Spruce Avenue in South San Francisco, California("Property")from the former City of South San Francisco Redevelopment Agency ("Agency"); and WHEREAS, the Property succeeded to and was acquired by the Successor Agency to the City of South San Francisco Redevelopment Agency("Successor Agency")pursuant to ABx1 26 and AB 1484; and WHEREAS,a portion of the Property is leased to the County of San Mateo ("Lessee")for a Health Center, pursuant to a lease agreement dated April 4, 2000, as amended from time to time ("Original Lease Agreement"); and WHEREAS, the Successor Agency and Lessee desire to enter into a new lease agreement ("Lease Agreement")where the Lessee would lease an additional 1,000 square feet of space on the ground floor of the Property for medical office and related uses for a one-year term; and WHEREAS, the Successor Agency recommends approving the Lease Agreement and authorizing the Executive Director of the Successor Agency to execute the Lease. Agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Successor Agency to the City of South San Francisco Redevelopment Agency hereby resolve as follows: 1. Recommends the Oversight Board for the Successor Agency of the City of South San Francisco Redevelopment Agency("Oversight Board")adopt a resolution approving the Lease Agreement with the County of San Mateo,conditioned on Lessee's timely execution and submission of all required documents. 2. Authorizes the Successor Agency's Executive Director or designee to(i)execute the Lease Agreement on behalf of the Successor Agency subject to the approval of the Oversight Board, (ii) subject to the approval of the Successor Agency Attorney, make revisions to the Lease Agreement that do not materially or substantially increase the Successor Agency's obligations thereunder; and (iii) take such other actions reasonably necessary to carry out the intent of this Resolution. * * * * * I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the Successor Agency to the former Redevelopment Agency of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 23rd day of September, 2015 by the following vote: AYES: Boardmembers Karyl Matsumoto, Pradeep Gupta, and Liza Normandy, Vice Chairman Mark Addiego and Chairman Richard Garbarino NOES: None.
