Call to Order. TIME: 3:31 p.m.
Roll Call. PRESENT: Vice Mayor Normandy and Mayor
Gupta.
ABSENT: None.
Public Comments.
None.
1. Motion to Approve the Minutes of the meeting of December 19, 2016.
Motion—Vice Mayor Normandy/Second— Mayor Gupta: to approve the Minutes of the meeting of
December 19, 2016. Unanimously approved by voice vote.
2. Report transmitting the Fiscal Year(FY) 2016-17 Mid-year financial report.
(Richard Lee, Director of Finance)
Finance Director Lee presented the staff report. He went into detail on how the General Fund
was doing, looked at major General Fund revenues, discussed mid-year budget requests from
various departments and finally looked at other funds mid-year budget requests.
Queries from Committee members were discussed and answered.
City Manager Futrell closed by noting that this was the smallest mid-year report the City had
done in a while and would encourage staff to manage their money more tightly.
3. Report transmitting the Ambulance Service Financial Report for Fiscal Year
2016-17 Quarter One and Quarter Two, and discussing write-off of$2,229,642.57
in uncollectable ambulance billing accounts receivable. (Gerald Kohlmann, Fire
Chief)
Fire Chief Kohlmann presented the staff report. He provided an update on the Fire Department
ambulance service financial status, and to write off uncollectable aged receivables.
Mayor Gupta and Vice Mayor Normandy supported staffs recommendation.
6. Adjournment.
Being no further business Mayor Gupta adjourned the meeting at 4:59 p.m.
