HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 26-2004RESOLUTION NO. 26-2004 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A $10,000 GRANT FROM THE BEA FOUNDATION AND A GRANT IN AN AMOUNT NOT GREATER THAN $9,000 FROM THE TOWN OF COLMA TO SUPPORT PROJECT READ SERVICES AND AMENDING THE 2003-2004 OPERATING BUDGET (NO. 04-18) WHEREAS, staff recommends the acceptance of a grant in the amount of $10,000 from the BEA Foundation and a grant in an amount not greater than $9,000 from the Town of Colma to support Project Read services; and WHEREAS, grant funds received in fiscal year 2003-2004 will be used to amend the Library Department's current budget. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby accepts a $10,000 grant from the BEA Foundation and a grant in an amount not greater than $9,000 from the Town of Colma to support Project Read services and amends the 2003-2004 Operating Budget (No. 04- 18) to add $19,000 to the Library Department's Operating Budget. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 14th day of April 2004 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Joseph A. Femekes, Richard A. Garbarino, and Pedro Gonzalez, Vice Mayor Raymond L. Green, and Mayor Karyl Matsumoto NOES: None. ABSTAIN: None. ABSENT: None. ATTEST: City Clerk
