CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT
TO GOLDEN BAY CONSTRUCI'ION, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF
$133,09.0.40 FOR THE WEST ORANGE AVENUE INTERSECTION
IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT AND AMENDING THE 2003-04
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM BUDGET TO INCREASE
THE BUDGET FOR THIS PROJECT FROM $150,000 TO
$176,,577.40
WHEREAS, staff desires to award the construction contract to the lowest responsible bidder,
Golden Bay Construction, Inc. in the amount of $133,020.40 for the West Orange Avenue
Intersection Improvements Project; and
WHEREAS, this project is included in the 2003-04 Capital Improvement Program in the
amount of $150,000; and
WHEREAS, no general fund dollars are needed for this project; and
WHEREAS, the funding sources are:
Grant Award - TDA funds through C/CAG
Orange Avenue Improvement Project
(residual from Tennis Drive Improvements)
Proposition 12, Bond Act of 2000
Total

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the City Council hereby awards a construction contract to Golden Bay
Construction, Inc. in the amount of $133,020.40 for the West Orange Avenue Intersection
Improvements Project and amends the 2003-04 Capital Improvement Program budget to increase
the budget from $150,000 to $176,577.40.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the
City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 26th day of May
2004 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Joseph A. Femekes, Richard A. Garbarino, and Pedro Gonzalez,
Vice Mayor Raymond L. Green, and Mayor Karyl Matsumoto
NOES: None.
ABSTAIN: None.
ABSENT: None.
