2003 in Resolution 16-2003.
Other Fire Prevention Inspections
The language in the first fee item ("Group R, Division 1") needs to be amended to include
condominiums classified as "Group R, Division 3" occupancies. These are groups of three (3) or
more condominiums in a single building that the Fire Department currently conducts fire safety
inspections. These types of condominiums share a common building exterior but for zoning and
tax purposes are classified as "Group R, Division 3". Title 19, 5 year automatic sprinkler
certification fees are increased due to the need to offset the expenses associated with this
inspection activity. The expedited fire plan check fees for fire and life safety review and/or fire
protection systems is allowed by the Uniform Administrative Code and has been traditionally
assessed by the SSF Fire Department when a customer requests that their plans be reviewed on
an accelerated basis. This fee was omitted during the last Master Fee Schedule review and
needs to be added so that customers requesting this service can be properly charged.
