HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 53-2004RESOLUTION NO. 53-2004 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION APPROVING SPECIFIED APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE SCHEDULE TO INCORPORATE THOSE FEES FEES AND MASTER FEE WHEREAS, staff recommends modification to the Master Fee Schedule for 2004-05 fiscal year as set forth in the staff report and Exhibit "A"; and WHEREAS, the fees reflect the reasonable costs of providing the subject services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby approves the Master Fee Schedule as modified to include those fee amendments specified in the staff report and attached exhibit hereto. SSFFD Fire Service Transportation fees remain 10% below that charged by the San Mateo County Advanced Life Support Provider (AMR) for 911 emergency ambulance services. Other Fire Prevention Inspections The language in the first fee item ("Group R, Division 1") needs to be amended to include condominiums classified as "Group R, Division 3" occupancies. These are groups of three (3) or more condominiums in a single building that the Fire Department currently conducts fire safety inspections. These types of condominiums share a common building exterior but for zoning and tax purposes are classified as "Group R, Division 3". Title 19, 5 year automatic sprinkler certification fees are increased due to the need to offset the expenses associated with this inspection activity. The expedited fire plan check fees for fire and life safety review and/or fire protection systems is allowed by the Uniform Administrative Code and has been traditionally assessed by the SSF Fire Department when a customer requests that their plans be reviewed on an accelerated basis. This fee was omitted during the last Master Fee Schedule review and needs to be added so that customers requesting this service can be properly charged.
