HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 105-2004RESOLUTION NO. 105-2004 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION IMPLEMENTING A NON-EMERGENCY BLS AMBUI_2xNCE PROGRAM AND AMENDING THE 2004-05 OPERATING BUDGET IN THE AMOUNT OF $350,000 TO FUND THE PROGRAM WHEREAS, in response to the need for enhanced cost recovery and increased ambulance back-up capability the Fire Department is proposing to staff a basic life support (BLS) ambulance in addition to the two advanced life support (ALS) ambulances that it currently operates; and WHEREAS, approval for the Fire Department to provide non-emergency BLS ambulance services will improve its efforts to recover more of the costs associated with the services it provides the community; and WHEREAS, additional funding is required to begin operating the new program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council implements a non-emergency BLS ambulance program and amends the 2004-05 Operating Budget in the amount of $350,000 to fund the Program. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 27th day of October 2004 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Joseph A. Fernekes, Richard A. Garbarino and Pedro Gonzalez, Vice Mayor Raymond L. Green and Mayor Karyl Matsumoto NOES: None. ABSTAIN: None. ABSENT: None. ATTEST: Deputy City Clerk
