Call to Order 6:33 p.m. 2. Roll Call Present: Councilmembers Garbarino, Gonzalez and Matsumoto, Mayor Pro Tem Femekes and Mayor Green Absent: None 3. Public Comments None 4. Closed Session: Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(a): conference with legal counsel - existing litigation, Kotobuki Trading Company, Inc., et al. v. City of South San Francisco; and pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(a): conference with legal counsel - existing litigation, Hart v. City of South San Francisco Time entered into Closed Session: Time reconvened into Open Session: Report from Closed Session: 6:33 p.m. (Recess: 7:13 p.m. - 7:14 p.m.) 7:26 p.m., all Councilmembers present. Direction given/no action taken on both items. 5. Adjournment Being no further business, Mayor Green adjourned the meeting at 7:26 p.m. Submitted by: Sylvia M. Unanimously approved by voice vote. ADMINISTRATIVE BUSINESS 12. Resolution authorizing the acceptance of Federal Surface Transportation Funds for the BART Linear Park Staff report and visual presentation given by Recreation and Community Services Director Ranals. Councilwoman Matsumoto acknowledged the funding for the project has come from grant funds and not general funds. She also stated that the linear park will include traffic calming devices for the benefit of pedestrians and bicyclists. Motion-Garbarino/Second-Matsumoto: To approve Resolution No. 8-2005, accepting $1,932,900 in Federal Surface Transportation Funds from the Metropolitan Transportation Commission's Transportation for Livable Communities Program to be allocated toward construction of the BART Linear Park. Unanimously approved by voice vote. 13. Resolution approving modification to the Master Fee Schedule, adding fee for the storage of firearms Staff report presented by Police Chief Raffaelli. Councilmembers asked for clarification on the process for selling firearms and storing, and Chief Raffaelli explained that the ultimate determination on the disposition of the weapons will be made by the court. Motion-Fernekes/Second-Gonzalez: To approve Resolution No. 9-2005, amending the master fee schedule to add a fee for the storage of firearms. Unanimously approved by voice vote. COMMUNITY FORUM Mayor Green thanked those who participated in this year's Christmas adopt-a-family program.
