CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOI,UTION ACCEPTING $2,340,000 GRANT FUNDS FROM THE
URBAN PARK ACT OF 2001 AND AMENDING THE 2()04~-2003 CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT PROGI/AM BUDGET FOR CONSTRUCTION OF ()RANGE
MEMORIAl, PARK RECREATION BUII,DING
WHEREAS, staff recommends acceptance of $2,340,000 in grant funds from the State of California
Urban Park Act of 2001 for the design and construction of a new recreation building at Orange Memorial Park
and appropriates an additional $1,540,000 in the 2004-2005 Capital Improvement Program budget for a new
project, "Orange Memorial Park Recreation Building Replacement," total budget of $3,880,000; and
WHEREAS, the budget amendment appropriates the following to a new capital project, "Orange
Memorial Park Recreation Building Replacement."

Urban Park Act Grant Funds - Competitive
Per Capita Park Bond Grant Funds - Non-competitive, encumbered by State
Roberti-Z'Berg Park Bond Block Funds - Non-competitive, encumbered by State

Fairfield Development Park-in-Lieu Fees, anticipated to be received in 2006

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that
the City Council hereby accepts $2,300,000 in grant funds from Urban Park Act of 2001 and amends the 2004-
2005 Capital Improvement Program budget by appropriating $1,540,000 for construction of Orange Memorial
Park Recreation Building.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City
Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 9th day of February 2005 by the
following vote:

Councilmembers Richard A. Garbarino, Pedro Gonzalez, and Karyl Matsumoto,
Mayor Pro Tem Joseph A. Fernekes and Mayor Rayrnond L. Green
