NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 54956 of the Government Code of the State of
California, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco will hold a Special Meeting on Tuesda, the 11th
day of December 2018, at 7:00 p.m., at the Municipal Services Building, Social Hall, 33 Arroyo Drive, South
San Francisco, California.
1. Call to Order.
2. Roll Call.
3. Post Colors.
4. Pledge of Allegiance.
5. Star Spangled Banner.
6. Introduction of Elected Officials.
7. Public Comments - comments are limited to items on the Special Meeting Agenda.
8. Mayor declares the purpose of the meeting.
Resolution canvassing returns and declaring results of the 2018 Statewide General
Election of November 6, 2018.

Resolution canvassing returns and declaring results of the 2018 Statewide General Election of November 6,
2018.
WHEREAS, the 2018 Statewide General Election was held on November 6, 2018, pursuant to Resolution No.
90-2018, Resolution No. 85-2018, and Resolution No. 86-2018, for the election of three (3) members of the
City Council, a City Clerk, and a City Treasurer; and to consider Measure FF and Measure LL; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk presented to the City Council, for its inspection, all returns of the votes cast,
pursuant to California Election Code Section 10264.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that it finds:
1.That there were 32,327 registered voters in the City of South San Francisco and that 21,237 total ballots
were cast in the City of South San Francisco; and
2.That the names of persons voted for as submitted at said General Municipal Election are as follows:
a)As regularly-nominated candidates:
Mark Addiego Council Member
Steven Ponce-Ramirez Council Member
Mark Nagales Council Member
Flor Nicolas Council Member
Kamala Silva Council Member
Pradeep Gupta Council Member
Rosa Govea Acosta City Clerk

shown by the official count at each of the several precincts established throughout the City of
South San Francisco by the City Council for the purpose of conducting the consolidated election
is as shown in Exhibit 1 attached hereto, the same being a tabulation of the votes by precincts.
b)That the total votes cast at said Statewide General Election in favor of Measure FF, Measure LL,
and said candidates for the Offices of City Council Member, City Clerk and City Treasurer as
shown by the official count, and included in the total set forth in Exhibit 1 are as follows:

4.That the City Council of South San Francisco hereby declares as follows:
Mark Addiego, Mark Nagales, and Flor Nicolas were duly elected at said Statewide General Election as
members of the City Council of South San Francisco.
Rosa Govea Acosta was duly elected at said Statewide General Election as City Clerk of South San
Francisco.
Frank Risso was duly elected at said Statewide General Election as City Treasurer of South San
Francisco.
Measure FF and Measure LL were duly approved by voters at said Statewide General Election.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that:

1.The City Clerk of South San Francisco shall, and is hereby ordered to, to issue Certificates of Election
to Mark Addiego, Mark Nagales, and Flor Nicolas as members of the City Council.
2. The City Clerk of South San Francisco shall, and is hereby ordered to, to issue a Certificate of Election
to Rosa Govea Acosta as City Clerk.
3.The City Clerk of South San Francisco shall, and is hereby ordered to, to issue a Certificate of Election
to Frank Risso as City Treasurer.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
