Possible field use committee
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
There has been a lot of discussions about field use. The Board has recently provided direction to staff and
SSFUSD has revised our administrative regulations to discuss the process with which fields will be reserved.
We recognize the demand for fields and have received a lot of community input; therefore, we are proposing a
standing field committee be developed with a few representatives from the City and a few representatives from
the District. The purpose of this committee will be to review and suggest revisions to the JPA and have
opportunities to collaboratively discuss and problem solve community field-related concerns in order to present
a more united front and common message. This body can then provide informational updates to the Board of
Trustees and the City Council to ensure both entities are well-informed. Additional details about the frequency
of meetings and specific agenda topics will be discussed after the initial meeting.
