HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 55-2005RESOLUTION NO. 55-2005 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AWARDING CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS FOR THE NEW FIRE STATION 61 TO VARIOUS BIDDERS IN A TOTAL PROJECT BUDGET AMOUNT OF $4,200,000 WHEREAS, City Council approves the award of a construction contract for the New Fire Station 61 to the various bidders as shown in Exhibit "A"; and WHEREAS, on May 11, 2005, staff opened bids for the Informal Bid Items; and WHEREAS, On May 12, 2005, staff opened bids for the Formal Bid Items to cost over $100,000; and WHEREAS, the breakdown of the project cost is as follows: Architectural & Engineering Fees Construction Management Fee Construction (Base Bid) Construction (Alternate Bid 1) Construction (Alternate Bid 2) Construction (Alternate Bid 3) Construction Contingency City Administration Cost Information Technology Cost Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment Project Total $ 176,425.00 $ 480,577.00 $2,066,610.00 $ 543,528.00 $ 79,728.00 $ 251,417.00 $ 100,000.00 $ 90,000.00 $ 200,000.00 $ 200,000.00 $4,188,285.00 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby awards construction contracts for the New Fire Station 61 to the various bidders and in the not to exceed amounts shown in Exhibit "A." BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the contracts on behalf of the City of South San Francisco, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 25th day of May 2005 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Richard A. Garbarino, Pedro Gonzalez and Karyl Matsumoto, Mayor Pro Tem Joseph A. Femekes and Mayor Raymond L. Green NOES: None. ABSTAIN: None. ABSENT: None.
