NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 54956 of the Government Code of the
State of California, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco will hold a Special Meeting
on Wednesday, the 29th day of June 2005, at 6:00 p.m., in the City Hall Conference Room, 400
Grand Avenue, South San Francisco, California.

SUBJECT: CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING - INTERVIEWS FOR LIBRARY
BOARD OF TRUSTEES AND CONFERENCE CENTER AUTHORITY
Enclosed you will find the Council packet for the June 29, 2005 Special City Council Meeting, to be
held in the City Hall Conference Room, beginning at 6:00 p.m. There are two applicants to be
interviewed for the Library Board, six applicants for the Conference Center Authority/Resident-
Business, and four applicants for the Conference Center Authority/Hotel. Conference Center
Director O'Toole conducted a survey ofthe hotels and received recommendations as per direction
given at the May 25, 2005 City Council meeting. Responses were received from 10 hotels,
representing a 33% response rate.
Also being included in the process this evening are three applicants who were interviewed earlier this
year for various boards and commissions and indicated an interest to serve on the Library Board of
Trustees.
The interview schedule is as follows:
Library Board:
6:05 Mr. William C. Boldenweck - seeking reappointment;
appointed 7/1/99 and 9/25/02 (served two full terms)
6: 13 Mrs. Eleanor J. Breite - seeking reappointment: appointed
9/11/96, 7/14/99 and 9/25/02 (served three full terms)
Conference Center Authority - Business Community or Resident:

6:29 Mrs. Buenaflor Nicolas
6:37 Mr. Jim Metz - seeking reappointment; appointed 1/14104
(served partial term)
6:45 Ms. Laurie Masetti
