The City Council of the City of South San F~'ancisco do ordain
as follows:
Section 1. The office of tax collector for said City uf South
San Francisco is hereby croated.
Section E. The City Council of the City of South San Fran-
cisco shall appoint a tax collector, who shall hold office at the
pleasure of said City Council.
Section 5. The tax collector shall receive such compensation
as said City Council shall from time to time determine.
Section 4. It shall be the duty of the tax collector to
collect all taxes payable to said City of South San Francisco and to
perform such other duties as said City Council shall from time to
time require.
Section 5. Upon qualifying, the tax collector shall give to
said City of South San F~'ancisco a bond, to be approved by said City
Council in such amount as said City Council shall requi~,e, conditioned
for the faithful performance of the duties of such tax collector.
Section 6. The tax collector shall ~eep his office open
daily, except Sundays and legal holidays, from the hour of 9 o'clock
a. m. to l~ o'clock noon and from the hour of i o'clock p. m. until
5 o'clock p. m. The tax collector may close his office at the hour
of l~ o'clock noon on all Saturdays.
Section ?. This ordinance shall be published once in "The
Enterprise and The South San F~:ancisco Journal", a weekly newspaper
of general circulatiou, published and circulated in said City of South
San Francisco, and shall take effect and be in force from and after
the expiration of thirt~ (Z0) days after the date of its i~.assage.
