~D DEFINING HIS D~IES.
The City Council of the City of South San Francisco do
ordain as follows:
Section 1. The office of license collector for said City of
South San Francisco is hereby created.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of South San Fran-
cisco shall appoint a license collector, who shall hold office at the
pleasure of said City Council. ~
Section 3. The license collector shall receive such com-
pensation as said City Council shall from time to time determine.
Section 4. It shall be the duty of the license collector to
collect all licenses payable to said City of South San Francisco and
to perform such other duties as said City Council shall from time to
time require.
Section 5. Upon qualifying, the license collector shall
give to said City of South San Francisco a bond, to be approved by
said City Council in such amount as said City Council shall require,
conditioned for the faithful perform~lce of the duties of such license
collector.
Section 6. The license collector shall keep his office open
daily, except Sundays and legal holidays, from the hour of 9 o'clock
a~m. to 12 o'clock noon and from the hour of i o'cloc~ p. m. until
5 o'clock p.m. The ~license collector may close his office at the
hour of 12 o'clock noon on all Saturdays'°
.Section 7. This ordinance shall be published once in "The
Enterprise and The South San Francisco Journal", a newspaper of general
circulation, published and circulated in said City of South San Francisco,
and shall take effect and be in force fro~ and after the expiration of
thirty (30) days after the date of its passage.
