Approval of Minutes: Approved as with edits (minutes of August 1st, 2018 meeting)
ADMINSTRATIVE BUSINESS:
Presentation by Assistant City Manager, Marian Lee, on the Community Civic Campus
Ms. Lee gave a presentation on the update to the Project Community Civic Campus:
Structure Parking (will be located below the Library)
Project Budget is based on the approved Staff report taken to Council on August 22, 2018. The budget will not exceed $210 M. Staff is requesting direction to Council to advance to
the Preferred Master Plan to Schematic Design (which would be completed in 2018)
There will be a theater; open space to hold different events; and other spaces as well
The structure for the Fire Department is being postpone in this phase of the project

Committee Members comments:
The entry way for bikes and walkers must be very visible marked
The entrance to the Centennial trail looks to be reduced
Must have shuttle stop (s)
Install a Bike Hub/ with fix station for bikes
Install a water fountain , be able to fill bottles
Bike Parking
Classes: bike classes to learn how to fix and ride bikes
Shop for bikes (tubes, tools, patches, etc.)
Vending machine (bike supplies)
Booth for information

Discussion with the City’s consultant, Alta Planning, of the branding and outreach efforts for the new Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan
Mr. Hugh Louch and Otto Melara, presented to the City the new Bycicle and Pedestrian Master Plan.
Some items that were discussed at the meeting were:
The input the BPAC committee will have for the outreach of this master plan
The scope of work and the schedule for the work to be done in the outreach for this project
Branding for the plan
Public Engagement Process
Tools use for the outreach of the plan: Maps, booth in different events, etc.
Scope of Work:
Alta Planning will collect information to understand what is here in South San Francisco, that is so unique that makes South San Francisco
Will have great communication with the Community, via attending Community events, or social event; attending different Boards’ meeting. One of the events coming up if Fiestas Patrias
, which will be held here in South San Francisco, in September; Concert in the Park will be held
