The city council of the City of South San Francisco do ordain as
follows:
Section l: It shall be '~lawful to keep any swine within any part
of the City of South S~ Francisco, except on the premises of a slaughter
house, law~lly established and maintained, or within the enclosures of
a lawfully maintained stockyard, as the e~ression "stockya~" is defined
in Section 431 of the Agricultural Code of the State of California.
Section 2: ~y person, persons, fi~ or corporation who shall vio-
late any provision of this ordinance shall be ~ilty of a misdeme~or
and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not less
than Two Hunared Dollars ($200.00), or by imprisonment for not less than
three (3) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 3: This ordinance shall be published once in "The
Enterprise", a weekly newspaper of general circulation printed and
published in the City of South San Fr~cisco and shall take effect and
be in force upon the expiration of thirty (30) days after its adoption.
