The city council of the City of South San Francisco do ordain as follows: Section 1. Whereas the city council of the City of South San Francisco did, on the 22nd day of July, 1940, receive a written petition from A~erican Homes Inc., a corporation organized and exist- ing under the laws of the State of California, to annex to said City of South San Francisco the uninhabited territory hereinafter described; and WHEREAS the territory hereinafter desc~ibed is the territory sought, in said petition, to be included in said City of South San Francisco and is in fact uninhabited territory and is contiguous to said City of South San Francisco; and ~q~REAS, on said 22nd day of July, 19~0, said city council did pass its certain resolution giving notice of the proposed annex- ation 'of the uninhabited territory hereinafter described to said City of South San Francisco and did, in said resolution, fix I~onday, the 19th day of August, 1940, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p. m., in the Council Chamber in ~he City Hall of said City of South San Francisco, as the time and place when and where any person owning real property wit~hin the territory hereinafter described, and so proposed to be Annexed, and having any objection to the proposed annexation of said territory, may appear before said city council and show cause why said territory should not be so annexed; and did, in said resolution, find that said A~.~erican Homes Inc. is the ovmer of more than one- fourth (1/4) of the area of the land herei~after described and repre- sents more than one-fourth (1/4) of the assessed value of said property accordi~g to the last preceding equalized assessment roll of the County of San ~ateo; and said city council did, in said resolution, direct the city clerk of said city to cause a copy of said resolution to be published once a ~eek for two (~) successive weeks prior to the 19th day of August, 19~0, in ~The Enterprise", a weekly newspaper of general circulation published in said City of South San Francisco; and i~tEREAS said resolution was published in said "The Enterprise" on the following dates: July ~, July ~l, and August 7th, 1940; and V~/EREAS no person has filed or made any written or other pro- test against the annexation of said territory, or any part thereof, to said City of South San Francisco; I~0~, THEREFORE, said city council do ordain as follows: Section 1. Said City Council hereby determines that said American Homes Inc., a co-~poration organized and existing under the laws of the State of California, is the owner of more than one-fourth (1/~) of the area of the land hereinafter described and represents more than one-fourth (1/~) of the assessed value of said land accord- lng to the last preceding equalized assessment roll of said County of San l/ateo and that said land is in fact uninhabited territory and is contiguous to said City of South San Francisco. Section E. Said city council does hereby approve the annex- ation to said City of South San Francisco of the territory described as follows: BEGINI~IEG at the intersection of the ~outh line of Oak Avenue, produced west and the west line of ~ission Road, said point being on the ~est City Limits line of South San Francisco; Running thence west along the south line of Oak Avenue pro- dueed to au intersection with the west line of E1 Camino Real, a distance of ~00 feet more or less; Running thence South easterly along the west line of E1 Cam- ino Real 'to the north property line of American Homes Inc., South- wood Subdivision, a distance of 1580 feet, more or les.~ Running thence S ~l© ~0' ~0" I/. 150.0 feet; Running thence S 88° 15' 40" ~. 111.43 feet~ Running thence S 69° 33'; 30~ ~. 343.90 feet; Running thence S 31° 2B; ~. 250.48 feet; Running thence S 62° 05~ 15# E. 210.40 feet; O ~ Running thence S 31 28; W. 430.57 feet; Running thence S 34° 28' 30" E. 52.55 feet, to a point of tangency of a curve to left; Running thence Southeasterly by a curve to left of 320.0 feet radius and a central angle of 18° 30' a distance of 103.32 feet arc measurement; Running thence by a curve to left of 965.00 feet radius and a central angle of 32° 31' 30" a distance of 547.80 feet arc measurement; Running thence ~ 4° S0' ~. 100.00 feet; Running thence S 21° 17' E. 66.22 feet; Running thence S 3° 02' ~. 100.00 feet; Running thence S 86° 58; E. 15.00 feet; Running thence S 88° 07' E. 46.21 feet; Running thence I~ 63° 00' E. 53.15 feet; Running thence N 82° 49' 10" E. 160.00 feet; Running thence ~i 63° 28' E. 337.18 feet to the west line of E1 Casino Real; Running thence Southeasterly along the west line of E1 Cam- ino Real 2020.51 feet, more or less to a point that is the i~tersection of the production west of the south City limits line of South San Francisco and the west line of E1 Casino Real; Running thence Northeasterly across E1 Casino Real a distance of 66.00 feet to the intersection of the south City limits line of South San Francisco and the east line of E1 Cam- ino Real; Running thence Northwesterly along the east line of E1 Camino Real, which line is the west City limits of South San Fran- cisco to the north line of First Street a distance of 3430.0 feet, more or lesa; -~- Running thence across E1 Camino Real along the north line of First Street produced, which point is also the west line of Mission Road; Running thence Northerly by various courses along the westerly line of ~ission Road to the point of beginning a distance of 1750.00 feet, more or less, which west line of Mission Road is also the west limits line of South San Francisco. Section 5.
