ordain as follows:
~ection i. Ordinance No. ~10 of the City of South San Fran-
cisco entitled "An ordinance regulating traffic upon the public streets
of the City of South ~an Francisco," adopted November 18th, 1940, is
hereby anlende4 as follows:
There is added to said ordinance a new section, which new
section shall be numbered and read as follows:
~ection 16a The driver or operator of a vehicle shall no~
park such vehicle for longer than two (E) hours at any time on any one
of the streets designated as follows:
Bayshore Boulevard from Axlnottr Avenue to the north boundary
line of said city; each of the following streets for the full length
thereof: Industrial Way; Greene Avenue; Lewis Avenue; Madrone Avenue;
Chapman Avenue; Gardiner Avenue; and Randolph Avenue.
~eCtion 2. Section ~? of said ordinance is hereby ~ended
so that said section ~?, as amended, shall read as follows:
~ection Z?. Any person violating any of the provisions of
this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon convie-

%ion thereof, shall be punished by a fine not exceeding Three Hundred
Dollars ($300.00), or by imprisonmen~ for a period not exceeding
three (3) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment; provided,
however, that any such person, who shall violate any provision of
section 16& of this ordinance, shall be punished by a fine not less
than Five Dollars ($5.00) for the first offense and not less than
Ten Dollars ($10.00) for any subsequent offense. In the event, of
the failure of any person, who may be convicte4 of violating any
provision of said section 16a, to pay the fine imposed upon him, such
person shall be imprisoned for a period not less than ten (10)
days. In no case shall the execution of the sentence imposed upon
any person punishable under section 16a of this ordinance be suspended

by the court.
Section 5. This' ordinance shall be publishe~ once in "The
Enterprise", a weekly newspaper printed and published in said City of
South San' Francisco, and shall take effect a~d be in force from amd
after the expiration of thirty (30) days after its adoptiom.
