THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO", PASSED AND ADOPTED
~AY 4, 1925.
The City Council of the City of South San Francisco does
ordain as follows:
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
heretofore referred to the City Planning Commission of said City the
matter of proposed rezontng of the land hereinafter described and,
thereafter, Said City Planning Commission adopted a resolution recom-
mending rezoning of said land and also recommending the regulations and
restrictions to be incorporated therein, as hereinafter set forth; and
WHEREAS said City Council did, on the 24th day of May,
1946, hold a public meeting in the manner provided by law for the
purpose of giving all persons particularly interested and the general
public an opportunity to be heard and show cause why such land herein-
after described should not be rezoned in accordance with said report
of said City planning Commission; and
WHEREAS no protest has been made against rezoning said
land;
NOW, THEREFORE, said City CoUncil does hereby OP~fl as
follows: ·
Section 1. Ordinance No. 137 of the City of South San
Francisco entitled: "An ordinance establishing industrial, business
and residential districts or zones in the City of South San Francisco
and expressly repealing Ordinance No. llV of the City of South San
Francisco," passed and adopted on the 4th day. of May, 1925, is hereby
amended by adding thereto a new section which shall be numbered and
read as follows:
Section 3~. The land situate in Said City, and herein-
after described, may be used for the purposes of' business, but subject
to the regulations for business hereinafter set forth.
The land hereinbefore referred' to consists of all that
certain lot or parcel of land situate in the City of South San Fran-
cisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, and described as
follows:
Lot numbered five (5) in Block lettered "A", as shown upon
that certain map entitled: "Nap of Peck's Subdivision Noo l, South
San Francisco, San Mateo Co. Cal." which map was filed in the offia~
of the County Recorder of the County of San Mateo, June 24, 1907, in
Book 5 of Original Maps at page ll.
The regulations for the use of the land hereinbefore des-
cribed are as follows:
No building, structure, improvement or premises shall be
used, and no building, structure or improvement shall be erected,
constructed, established, altered or enlarged, which is designed,
arranged or intended to be occupied for any other purpose than for
the maintenance of what is commonly known as a "motor court".
No business shall be conducted on said land which produces,
causes or emits any dust, gas, smoke, noise, fumes or odors or
vibrations, which are or may be detrimental to other property in the
neighborhood or to the welfare of the occupants thereof.
This ordinance shall be published once in "The Enterprise",
a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in said
city and shall ~take effect and be in force immediately.

Passed and adopted as an ordinance of the City of South San
Francisco at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco this~/~j day of June, 1946, by the following
vote:
