A regular meetingof the Planning Commission of South 8m Franci.sco was held at
theCity Hall on Wednesday August 9th, 1944 at 8 P. M. Present: Mr. Andrew Rocca in the
Chair. Messrs: D.W. DUncan, A. J. Welte, S. K. Robbins, A. J. Eschelbach, A. Kauffm&ln, A.

This matter was again discussed: also it was suggested that a Board Side Walk
along a portion of the street so pedesterians could walk in safety especially in the
winter time. Mr.
and secretary will freme a letter and send same to the City
Counsil asking the Counsil to consider extending Magnolia Ave through to the Highway
and request the City to put in a board walk.
War Housing
The above matter wes discussed, and will be given further consideratton in
the future.
Post War Plannin~
It was regularly moved by S. K. Robbins and seconded by A.. J.. Welte that a letter be
written to the City Counsil aSking for a joint meeting of the City Oounsil and
theI'Planning Commission for a joint discussion and consideration of the Post War
with special attention being given to the oblaining of any Federal Funds that might be
available~
A letter was read from Mr. Charles J. GellrBrdt enquiring as to whether or not
he could build
story apartment building on Lot 12 in block
102 on Grand Ave@ South San Francisco. After consideration secretary was instructed to
write Mr. Gellrardt and inform him that there was not anything in the zoni~g Ordinance
to prevent him erectin a two story apartment provided he complied with the building
restrictions of South San Francisco.
No further business in sight meeting adjourned until September 6, 1944.

A discussion on projects for Post War Planning were discussed, and after
a good of thought and argunlent on samet Mr. Bocca, on the suggestion of Fire Chief Welte,
the following cOmDlittee to work out purposals: Mr. A. J. ~schelbach, Chairman~
D. W. Duncan~ A. J. Welte, S. K. Robbins.
It was suggested by ~r. Rocca that when have been worked out that a
joint meeting of the Planning Commission, the Mllilufacturers Assocation and the City
Counicel be held for a Joint study and discussion of same.

Lots 17-19-21-23 in block 12 corner of Orange & Baden Avenues, So.' San Franeisco, with
a church building in mind.
That the Baptist church wass.lso considering the building of a church in So, San
Francisco.
Also that

Club was going to be established near So. SanFrancisco in the
vincinity of the Williams' Development. Backed by amble funds.
Mr. Rocca said he had been informed of two or three other developments in the near
furture.
