A Special Meeting of the Planaing Commission was held in theGi ty Hall,
South San Franc1sco, on Friday April 30th,1948, for the purpose of holding the
First Hearing on the applicatioB of the Santo Cristo Society tor AmeBdment.
Present Mr- Andrew Rocca, in the cha1r~
MesErs F. Lautze,R.Zanetti, J. Bracco,Ed. Be. rrett,Frank Davis, 01 Engineer,
Larry W~se. GiRozzi , Building Inspector and J.G. Walker, Secretary.
Also a large delegation from this District and Attorney OtHaraJ representing
Mr. Nystrom, and others\IlI
Mr. !\!ystrom presen t~d a Pet! tioD. from resideBts of Zonana" asking the
Planaing Commission to reject the re-zoning application of the Santo Cristo Society
Mr. '\Ill Nason O'Hara presented a letter of obje~tion on behalf of Mr. Nystrom,
a freeholder,to the re-zonin.g of Parcels 1.,2,3 and 4, ZoM Be acreage for reasons
set forth in his letter.
Mr.O'Kara stated the advertisements showed the Grdiaance was incorrectly
numbers 260, whereas the Ordinance should. be 269, and etc.
Mr; BUByDaly objected~ sta:ting the erection of the Hall would reduce
residential property valuation, and tllat same would be generally detrimeR.tal.

m Mrs. Daly, widow of Contractor Daniel Daly, also objected.
Mrs.. Olsen. a resident of ZonelltB. objected on account that this re-zoniag
would not bring better living conditions for families.
Mr. Joe Franko and Mr. Manuel DeLemos spoke, refuti:ag certain statements made
by objectors to the Amendmeat.
Mr. G.A. Griffith also objected.
After a general discussioJl, motion for resolutiā¬Ul was made by l\ffr. F. Lautze.
It was regularly m.o~ed. by F. Lautzel1 seconded by R. Zanetti, amd carried
uenlmously, that the matter be re-a.dvert1sed for Be-Hearing, the da.tes being set
for Mal 19th,1948, an~ June 9th,1948.
The Hearing was declared closed, and a motion for adjou~eat was carried
unanimously.
