PRESENT: Chairman Schaur, Commissionerv,s Barre'tt, Volonte, Ringue,Maher, Lautze, Bracco, Attorneys Lyons, Building Inspector Rozzi, and Advisor Wise.. ABSENT: Zanetti Minutes of March 9th..1949 approved as mailed.. COMMUNICATIONS: Letter from Glenn Smith, regarding continuation of Railroad Ave, C01~IITTEE REPORTS: Renaming of Maple Avenue, referred to new committee. Ordinance for new sub-divisions, Larry Wise will obtain Ordin- ances from other cities as samples to studY0 UNFINISHED BUSINESS: CHAIRMAN Schaur declared the second Public Hearing open on changing amendment to Se~tion 11 & 12 Ordinance No.269 ( signs) no protest made, chairman Schaur declared the Hearing closed.. It was regularly moved by Commissioner Bracco,secanded by Camm.. Maher that the Resolution be adopted and sent to the City Coun- cil for approval. Roll call all voted aye, ecept Ringue not voting. Chairman Schaur declared the Public Hearing open on the appli- cation from Lyle Johnson. Mr$C.J.McGuire at 226- A st.,appeared , he living next to lot that was to be made a parking lot,he appeared in defense of Mr. Johnson. No protest being made, hearing was declared closede Resolution introduced by Commissioner Bracco and secmnded by Commissioner Volante that Mr. Lyle Johnson be issued a revoc- able permit b~ granted for a Parking Lot at the rear of his business on El Camino Real , entrance on A st. motion carried unanimously. The first Public Hearing on resolution to re-zone Sterling Terrace from R-A. to R-l district $ No protest being made, matter was held for second Hearing May llth.1949. NEW BUSINESS: Apllication for a Use Permit was made be the Atlas Realty Co., . to erect signs berding on ElCaminm Real, on their on property. Regularly Moved by Commissioner Bracco seconded by Commissioner. Barrett, that a Use ~ermit be granted with the proviso for a period of 30 days only and the Secretary be instructed to write a letter informing them of same and also that they l}av'e all dir- ectional signs removed from property not owned by them. Roll call all voted aye. Application for A Use Permit was made bp Jos. DeLuca to extend existing dwelling to follow I-foot side yard. · Regularly moved By Commission Bracco, seconded By Commissioner Ringue abplication be granted. ~ Roll call all voted ayee NEW BUSSINESS: Con~issioner Ringue moved and seconded by Commissioner Bracco, that the Secretary be instructed to write to Assemblyman R.J. Dolwig, Resol~ed that the Planning Conmission Of South San Francisco areheartly in favor of the Southern Crossing of the new Bay Bridge.. Carried unanimously. MrEl Allan BOilller, President of the Buri Buri Improvement Club appeared to ask if the Planning Conmrrnission had done anthing regarding the extention of Chestnut Avenue, Chairman Schaur stated the Mayor had not referred the matter to him. ~t was regularly moved, and seconded, and carried that the meeting be adjourned till Wednesday May llth..1949..
