Chairman Schaur called the meeting to order at 8;00 P~M$
PRESENT: SChaur,Bracco,Ringue,Lautze,Volonte,Barrett,WorkS Engineer Randlett,
Building Inspector Rozzi,Consul tant Wi.se.
ABSENT: ZanettiJMaher,
Minutes of September l4th.1949 approved as mailed.
COMMUNICATIONS:
Letter from the Planning Commission of Mill Valley asking for a
copy of our Zoning Ordinance and if we hired a Consultant and how
much salary he received, the chair asked the Secretary to amswer
letter..
C01WITTEE REPORTS:
Bracco reported for the Road Con~itteeJhe reported as follows;
City Manager Larwood, Police ChiedI LoIilis Belloni, Maher and himself
made a survey of the Bus stops.
Remove two parking meters on the West side of Linden avenue between
State Employment office and 3rd", Lane and replace same at the presen
loading zone/ll
Remove two pqrking meters on the South side of Grand avenue instead
loading at the.Bank of America as at present.
The Bus stop at Cypress>and Grand was referred back to the Committee
for further study with the possibility of locating a Terminal on
Bayshore Blv~d between the Union Oil Go. and Associated Oil COe
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
Resolution introduced by Barrett seconded by Lautze to rezone lots
13 & 14 Grand avenue ext",#l owned by L", Aiello from a R-2 to R-3
district. Roll call all voted aye",
Resolution iptroduced by Barrett and seconded bybRingue to set publi
hearings on November 9th", and December 14th",1949 to rezone property
on both sides of Grand avenue from Chestnut to Mission Road.
Roll call all voted aye.
NEW BUSINESS:
Chairman Schaur instructed Secretary to illiri te letter to Ci ty Council
to join the Planners at a.dinner meeting on October 25th", to discuss
the New Subdivision Ordinance",
Motion made and carried to extend.Mr",Joe Walker's leave of absence
to November Ist",1949.
Use permit to allow a 6' fence at 219-223-227- Arroyo Drive was re~;
ferred to committee composed of Schaur,Barrett, Ringue,Robinson to
report at the next meeting..

Application by Iron & Steel Contracting Co. to reect a steel
building located next to Guerin Bros. on the East side of South
Linden.
Motion made and carried for permission to build.

At the reguest of Mr. Randlett ? recon~emdation for specifications
on Lillside Blv'd from Edison to Linden avenue for a road bed~
After discussing the point at some lenght it was our recommendation
for a 6" crusher run base and a 2" Asphaltic concrete wearing surfacE
