COMMITTEE REPORTS: Bracco invited Wal. t Ryan to discuss the Bus stop situation. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Second public hearil'll on rezoning Grand Ave from Chestnut to :Mission Road on North and South sides. The Chair opened the hearing no protest hearing closed. Motion made and carried to rezone from R-2 to R-3. Allow no Parking on the East side of Cypress Ave. 'I between Baden and Miller. Create a new Bus zone commencing directly at Grand Ave., on the West side, surficent dis>>ance for two buses. This 'tfill elimate the present Bus zone at the Southeast corner of Grand and Cypress. ~ #2. Remove one parkingmeter on the Northeast corner of Grand and Ma.ple, to allow buses to move in and out of bus zone, at the present time buses have not room to pull alongside of curb, therefore Iiouble parking is necessary, which blocks traffic coming l-lest. NEW BUSINESS: Public hearing on variance application of Sterling Terrace Corp. for variance in frond yard set back of 10' instead of the required 15'. The chair aoppointed a committee consisting of Lautze, Zanetti, Volonte, 1-1aher and City Engineer Randlett to investigate and report on the Special meeting of January 25th. at 5;00 P..M. Use permit application of }:Ir.A.Bergmaschi for a private club on Mission Road. Motion made and Married to grant application if City Council approves the re- zoning of Grand tve. Application of the Santo Christo Society to rezone parcels 1,2,3, and 4 zone B to R-3 district. 11otion made and carrmed to set two phblie hearings first on Feb. 8th. and secondt on March 8th.1950. Minutes of' Januaryllth and January 25th. approved as mailed. COMMUNICATIONS: Letter from San VJ.ateo County Planning Commission transmitting a copy of Tentative County-wide Master Plan of' streets and Highways dlor our consideration. This plan has been. prepared of the over-all Master Plan of' the County o.f San Mateo and has bee! developed..in order to provide a system of' traffic 'Ways to serve requirements of the County and Cities. The fJ'lann shows a system of both existing and proposed highways with the planning objective 'of' providing a complete County-wide system capable of handling our future traffice needs. NEW BUSINESS: First public hearing opened for the rezoning of parcel 1,2,3, and 4, zone B to a R-.3 district, tfhis will allow the Santo Christo Society to build and provide proper sewer drainage. VlT.Nystrom spoke against the application claiming this would create a nuisance and offered a petition signed qy 215-residents and property owners, he asked ifthis''t'1as coming lip every year several other property o"t'mers were present to offer their objections.
