aN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A REVOLVING FUND FOR THE " ....... ~
CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF SOUTH S~N FRANCISCO.
The City Council of the City of South San Francisco
does ordain as follows:
Section 1. A revolving fund in the amount of One
Thousand Dollars ($1,0OO.00}, to be used by the city clerk for
the purpose of expenditures for said city, is hereby established.
Section 2. The city clerk is hereby authorized to
make expenditures from said fund, from time to time, in amounts
not exceeding Five Dollars {$5.00) each, for the purposes of
purchasing materials and other personal property necessary for
use by the various departments of the government of the City of
South San Francisco, without a requisition order from the pur-
chasing agent of said city.
Section 3. For the purchase of materials and other
personal property for use by the various departments of the
government of the City of South San Francisco, in amounts
exceeding Five Dollars ($5.00) and not exceeding Twenty-five
Dollars ($25.00), expenditures may be made from said fund, from
time to time, by said city clerk only upon purchase orders issued
by the purchasing agent of said city.
Section 4. On the first day of each month, said city
council shall transfer to said revolving fund from the general
'fund of said city a sum of money sufficient to cause said
revolving fund to amount to One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) at
that time.
~ Section 5. Said revolving fund shall be kept by said
city clerk in a separate bank deposit account, designated as
revolving fund, and, from time to time, said city clerk may
draw checks upon said account for the purposes of the expendi-
tures herein authorized.
Section 6. Said city cler~ shall keep a strict
account of all expenditures made from said revolving fund and
shall report the same to said city council at the first meeting
each month.
Section V. The city manager is hereby designated as
purchasing agent for said city and is hereby empowered to issue
purchasing orders in accordance with the p~ovi~Sions of this
ordinancee
Section 8e This ordinance shall be published by
one (1) insertion in The Enterprise, a weekly newspaper published
and circulated in said City of South San Francisco and shall
take effect and be in force upon the expiration of thirty (30)
days after its adoption.
