The City Council of "the City of South S~---~
cisco does ordain as follows:
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of South .
San Francisco did, on the 13th day of November, 1950, receive
a w~itten petition from JAMES L. CASEY, ALISE BARRETT, also known
as, ELISE C. BA,edtETT, and MARGARET SAVAGE, also known as,
MARGARET C. SAVAGE to annex to said City of South San Francisco
the uninhabited territory hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS ~he te~Titory hereinafter described
is the terTitory sought, in said petition, to be included in
said City of South San Francisco and is uninhabited territory,
as the expression "uninhabited territory" is used in Section
35303 of the Government Code of the State of California; and
WHEEEAS, on the 20th day of November, 1950
said city council did pass its certain resolution giving notice
of the proposed annexation of the uninhabited territory herein-
after described to said City of South San Francisco, and did,
in said resolution fix Monday, the 18th. day of December, 1950,
at the houm of 8 o'clock p. m., in the council chamber in the
city hall of said City of SoUth San PTancisco as the time and
place when and where any persons owning real property within
the te~itory hereinafter described, proposed to be
having any objection to the proposed annexation of said territory
may appesm before maid city council and show cause why said
territory should not be so annexed, and did, in said resolution,
find that said JAMES L. CASEY, ALISE BARRETT, also known as,
ELISE C. BARRETT, and MARGARET SAVAGE, also known as,
~RGARET C. ~AVAGE a~e the owners of more than one-fourth
of the smea of the land hereinafter described and represent,'
more than one-fourth (~) of the assessed property according
to the last preced'ing equalized assessment roll of the COunty
of San Mateo; and said city council did, in said resolution,
direct that the city clerk of said city cause a copy of said
resolution to be published once a week for two (2) successive
weeks prior to the 18th day of ~)ecember, 1950, in the SOUTH
SAN FRANCISCO ENTERPRISE-JOURNAL, a weekly newspaper of general
circulation published in said City of South San Francisco;
and
WHEREAS said resolution was published in said
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ENTERPRISE-JOURNAL on the following dates,
November 23, 1950, and November 30, 1950; and
WHEREAS no person has filed or made any
written or other protest against the annexation of said
territory, or any part thereof, to said City of South San
Franc is c o;
NOW, THEREFORE, said city council does ordain
as follows:
Section 1. Said city council does hereby
determine that JAMES L. CASEY, ALISE BARRETT, also known as,
ELISE C. BARRETT, and MARGARET SAVAGE, also known as, MARGARET
C. SAVAGE are the owners of more than one-fourth (~) of the
area cf the land hereinafter described an~ represent more
than one-fourth (¼) of the assessed value of said land, accord-
ing to the last preceding equalized assessment roll of said
County of S~n Mateo, and that said land is uninhabited territory
and is contiguous to said City of South San Francisco.
Section 2. Said city council hereby approves
the annexation to said City of South San Francisco the unin-
habited territory situate in the County of San Mateo, State of
California, described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the corporate
limits line of the City of South San Francisco,
said point being on the northeasterly line of the

80 foot right of way of the City and County of San
Francisco at its intersection with the northwesterly
line of Block 9, as said block is designated on the map
entitled "RANCHO B~RI BURI g0UTH gAN FRANCIgCO, CALI-
FORNIA", which map was filed in the office of the Recorder
of the County of M~n Mated, grate of California on March
22, 1946 in Book 25 of Maps at pages 28, 29 and 30;
thence from said point of beginning North ~8o 51, 40"
West along said corporate limits line, said line also
being the northeasterly line of the 80 foot right of way
966.25 feet to the northwesterly line of that certain
32 acre tract of land described in Parcel 17 of the
Decree of Distribution in the matter of the Estate of
James T. Casey, deceased, to Margret L. Casey, a cer-
tified copy of which was dated March 27, 1933 and
recorded March 31, 1933 in Book 588 of Official Records
of Man Mated County at page 303 (228280); thence North
~1o 11' 30" East along the said northwesterly line
1460,02 feet; thence crossing said 32 Acre parcel gouth
380 06' 50" East 838 feet and easterly tangent to the
last mentioned line on the arc of a cu~ve to the left
with a radius of 3060 feet and a central angle of 2o
03' 38" a distance of 110.05 feet to the northwesterly
line of the above mentioned Buri Buri Mubdivision and
the present corporate limits line of the City of gouth
Man Francisco; thence southwesterly along the last
mentioned line to the point of beginning, and containing
27.838 acres of land, more or less.
Being portion of the Bu~i Buri Rancho.
Meotion 3. This ordinance shall be published
by one (1) insertion in the ~OUTH BAN FRANCISCO ENTERPRISE-JOURNAL,
a weekly newspaper of general circulation printed and published
in said City of South Man Francisco, and shall take effect and be
in force upon the expiration of THIRTY (30) days following its
passage.
Introduced this 26th day of December, 1950.
Passed and adopted as an ordinance of the
City of gouth San Francisco at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Mouth Ban Francisco this ~~day of
