Chairman Martinez called the regular meeting of South
San Francisco Planning Commission to order at 8:00 P.M. in
Council Chambers of City Hall.
ROLL CALL: Commissioners Present: Christensen, Vago, Moakler,
Martinez, Wells, Gardner
Commissioners Absent: Buerger
Commissioner Wells moved; seconded by Commissioner Gardner,

A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO APPROVING
THE FINAL SUBDIVISION MAP OF PARK HAVEN '2
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of South San
Francisco at a regular meeting November 13, 1961 considered the
final subdivision map of Park Haven #2 and,
WHEREAS~ the Director of Public Works certified that he had
examined this mapl that the sketch as shown thereon is substantially
the same as it appeared on on the tentative map and any approved
alteration thereon; "all provisions of the California Subdivision
Map" as amended, have been complied with" and that he was satis-
fied that the map was technically correct; and. the Director of

WHEREAS~ the Planning Commission of the City of South San

NOW, HEREBY BE IT RESOLVED, Planning Commission certifies
on the 15th day of November, 1961 to the City Clerk, the Planning
Commission duly approves said map and recommends its acceptance
on behalf of the public all parce of land offered for dedication
for public use in accordance with terms of the offer of
dedication, and transmit the tracing and two blueline prints, duly
certified by the Director of Public Works and the Secretary of the
Planning Commission to the City Clerk" for certification and pre-

PlanningiiOfficer reported that permission of the Council had been
received and the Sketch Plan was published as was discussed by
Mr" Spangle with the Commission at a previous meeting.
COMMUNICATIONS:
Note was made of the communication from the Bay Area Rapid
Transit District to the Commission and the Chairman. It was ordered
filed at this time as no action was requested.
PLANNING COMMISSION REORGANIZATION:
Commissioner Christensen nominated Commissioner Martinez for
Chairman, Commissioner Wells for Vice-Chairman, and Mrs. Robertson
as Secretary. Commissioner Wells moved, seconded by Commissioner
Moakler, the nominations be closed. The motion passed unanimously.
Commissioner Christensen moved, seconded. by Commissioner Wells,
that a unanimous vote be cast for Chairman, Vice-Chairman and
Secretary as nominated. Motion passed unanimously.
GOOD AND WELFARE:
Chairman Martinez recognized Mr. Donald Thomas a representative
f-rom the Jtu.1ior Chamber of Commerce regarding the South San Fran-
cisco sign at Mission Road and EI Camino Real. The Commission
requested Mr. Thomas to go ahead and bring this up before the
Junior'Chamber and have the Junior Chamber make a recommendation
to the Planning Commission as to what they felt was necessary to
do with this sign.
Mr. Victor Boido appeared and stated that the sign was put
many :p;ears ago at considerable expense to the city and felt t
all that was needed at the present time was for the city to main-
tain it properly.
Mr. Adloph Sani appeared and requested the sign be maintained.
He saw no reason to remove it - it was an expensive sign installed
about years ago.
Mr. Louis Belloni appeared and suggested to the Commission they

Mr, Donald Thomas appeared once more and the Commission
