O ,."' AN ORDINANCE AMF~NDING ORDINANCE NO o 269 OF THE CITY
~o'--/ OF SOUTH SAN FRANCIS00, THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF
SAID CITY, ADOPTED DECEMBER 8, 19~7.
The City Council of the City of South San FranCisco
does ordain as follows:
Section 1. Section 7ol(a) 2 of Ordinance No. 269 of
the City of South San F~ancisco, the zoning ordinance of said
city, adopted on the 8th day of December, 19~7, shall, as
amended, read as follows:
2. Two (2) family dwellings including
duplexes when under the same roof.
Section 2. Section lO.l(a) 2 of said ordinance, shall,
as amended, read as follows:
2. Stores and shops for the conduct
of any retail business, but not includ-
ing secoetd'~b~nd stores~ banks; barber
shops, beauty parlors; restaurants,
fresksaent stands; m~sic or dance studios;
dress~aking, millinery, shoe a.~d tailor
shops; messenger offices; professional
offices; storage ~rages; studios; tele-
g~al~h offices; the~tres; and other
ness ~es which, i~l the opinion of the
planning commission, are of the same
general character as those enumerated in
this subsection and not obnoxious or
detrimental to the neighborhood in which
they are located.
Section ~. Section lO.l(a) ~ of said ordinance shall,
as amended, read as follows:
~. Stores and shops for the conduct
of any wholesale business; creameries;
launderies; launderettes; storage of goods
or materials; automobile sales and service;
used car sales; sale of used or second-hand
goods; mortuaries; automobile storage or
repair; nurseries; animal hospitals and
pet shops; and other uses which in the
opinion of the planning commission are
similar in character to those enumerated
in this subsection and will not be ob-
noxious or detrimental to the neighbor-
hood in which they are to be located and
all subject to the securing of a use
permit in each case; automobile service
stations for the sale of gasoline, oil
and minor accessories only.
Section 4. Section ll.l(a) 1 of said ordinance shall,
as amended, read as follows:
1. Ail uses permitted in an "R" or
"C-l" district without regard to secur-
ir~ a use permit except single family
dwel~ngs and automobile service sta-
tions.
Section 5. Section ll.l(a) 3 of said ordinance shall,
as amended, read as follows:
3' Lumber yards, mills, carpenter
shops, blacksmith and welding shops,
clothing manufacture, bottling worka~.
feed and fuel yards, manufactmre of
handicraft products; automobile ser-
vice stations for the sale of gasoline,
oil and minor accessories.
Section 6. This ordinance shall be published by one
(1) insertion in the ENTERPRISE-SO~TH SAN FRANCISCO JOURNAL, a
weekly newspaper published and circulated in the City of South
San Francisco, and shall take effect and be in force on the
expiration of thirty (30) days after its adoption.
