RESOLUTION NO. 131-2005
CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 2005-06 CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT BUDGET BY ADDING $90,000 FROM THE
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FUND TO PROVIDE FUNDING
FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO STORM DRAIN PUMPING
CAP ACITY FOR THE LINDENVILLE BUSINESS AREA
WHEREAS, staff has identified a need to improve the storm water pumping capacity of the
South Canal pump station, to provide interim pumping capacity for the Lindenville Business area,
which has in recent years been prone to flooding, prior to completion of the construction of the
newly designed station on 2006; and
WHEREAS, urgent action is required to provide this interim capacity before the arrival of
heavier winter rains; and
WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo, currently engaged in the reconstruction of Colma
Creek, can provide the additional capacity through a change order on the existing Agreement with its
contractor; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends that Lindenville Wet "Teather-related projects be funded by
Downtown Redevelopment funds until such time as funds eanllarked for the project in the upcoming
$10 million Redevelopment Bond Sale are available.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the City Council hereby amends the 2005-06 Capital Improvement Program Budget
by adding $90,000 from the Redevelopment Agency fund.
