TO T~ CITY 0F SOU~ SAN ~'~NCISC0.
The City Council of the City of South San Francisco
does ordain as follows:
WHEREAS the city council of the City of South San
Francisco did, prior to the ~ day of/~__,_~ ., 1952,
receive a written petition from ARCO BUILDING COMPANY, a
corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State
of California, and SAN MATEO MOUNTED SHERIFF'S POSSE CLUB, INC.,
a corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State
of California, to annex to said City of South San Francisco the
uninhabited territory hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS the territory hereinafter described is the
territory sought, in said petition, to be included in said City
of South San Francisco and is in fact uninhabited territory and
is contiguous to said City of South San Francisco; and
WHEREAS, on the ~ day of~e ~, 1952,

said city council did pass its certain resolution giving notice
of the proposed annexation of the uninhabited territory here-
inafter described to said City of South San Francisco and did,
in said resolution, fix Monday, the 7th day of July , 1952,
at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chamber in the
City Hall of said City of South San Francisco, as the time and
place when and where any persons owning real property within
the territory hereinafter described, and so proposed to be
annexed, and having any objections to the proposed annexation
of said territory may appear before said city council and show
cause why said ~erritory should not be so annexed, and did, in
said resolution, find that said ARCO BUILDING COMPANY and
SAN MATEO MOUNTED SHERIFF'S POSSE CLUB, INCo are the owners of

land comprising more than one-fourth (1/4) of the area of the territory
hereinafter described and representing more than one-fourth (l/t) of the
assessed value of Said territory, according to the last preceding equalized
assessment roll of the County of San Mateo; and said city council did, in
said resolution direct that the city clerk of said city cause a copy of
said resolution to be published once a week for two(2) successive weeks
at least 20 days prior to the 7th day of July, 1952, in the SOUTH SAN FRAN-
CISCO ENTERPRISE-JOURNAL, a weekly newspaper of general circulation published
in said City of South San Francisco, and in the SAN MATEO TIMES, a newspaper
of general circulation published and circulated in the county of San Mateo,
in which county the territory hereinbefore referred to is located;
WHEREAS said resolution was published in said SOUTH SAM FRANCISCO
ENTERPRISE-JOURNAL on the following dates: JumeSth & 12th. 1952 ; and
in the SAN MATEO TIMES on the following dates: June 6th &~3th, 1952
WHEREAS no person has filed or made any written or other protest against
the annexation of said territory, or any part thereof, to said City of South
San Francisco;
NOW, THEREFORE~ said city council does ordain as follows:
Section 1. Said city council does hereby determine that ARCO BUILDING
COMPANY and SAN MATE0 MCMNTED SHERIFF'S POSSE CLUB, INC. are owners of land
comprising more than one-fourth (1/~) of the area of the territory hereinafter
described and representing more than one-fourth (l/t) of the assessed value
of said territory, according to the last preceding equalized assessment
roll of the County of San Mateo, and that said land is in fact uninhabited
territory and is contiguous to said City of South San Francisco.
Section 2. Said city council does hereby approve the annexation to
said City of South San Francisco of the following described territory, to
be known as ~'PARK HAVEN":
BEGINNING at a point on the Westerly line
of the right of way of the City and County of
San Francisco said point being the most Southerly
corner of that certain 26.86 acre parcel of land
conveyed by California Golf Club, a corporation,
to American Homes~ a partnership, by Deed dated
May 14, 1941 and recorded October 20, 1941 in Book
982 of Official Records at page 363, Records of
San Mateo County, California; running thence from
s~id point of beginning South 7' 10' 50" East on
and along the Westerly line of the right of way
of the City and County of San Francimco, 204.84 feet
to its intersection with the Southeasterly line
of the lands of the California Golf Club, said
intersection being marked on the ground by an iron
pipe monument; thence South 55' 42' 10" West on and
along said last mentiOned line 1013.68 feet to
another iron pipe monument; thence leaving said
last mentioned line North 39' 25' 45" West 770.97
feet to a 2" x 2" stake; thence North 50' 00' 30"
East 532.37 feet to a 2" x 2" stake on the South-
westerly line of the above mentioned 26.86 acre
tract of American Homes; thence Southeasterly on
and along said last mentioned line on the arc of
a curve to the left having a radius of 1475 feet
and whose center bears North 29' 06' 23" East
1475 feet from said last mentioned point, having
a central angle of 26' 04' 23" an arc distance
of 671.21 feet to a point thereon; thence continuing
along the Southwesterly line of said 26.86 ac~e
tract South 86° 58' East 42.00 feet, North 85'
56' 30" East 63.50 feet to the Southerly termination
of the Westerly line of Fairway Drive as shown
on that certain map entitled "SOUTHWOOD, MAP NO.
3'D which map was filed in the office of the County
Recorder of San Mateo County on March 8, 1945 in
Book 24 of Maps at page 40; thence acress the
termination of said Fairway Drive, North 82' 49'
10" East 50 feet to a one-inch iron pipe monument;
thence North 82' 49' 10" East lO0.00 feet to the
point of beginning.
CONTAINING 15.193 acres of land, more or less.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be published by one
(1) insertion in the SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ENTERPRISE-JOURNAL,
a weekly newspaper of general circulation printed and published
in, said City of South San Francisco, and shall take effect and
be in force upon the expiration of thirty (30) days following
its adoption.
Introduced this 7th day of July , 1952.
PASSED AND ADOPTED as an ordinance of the City of
adjourned
South San Francisco at a regularlmeeting of the City Council of
the City of South San Francisco this 25th day of July ,
1952, by the following vote:

The foregoing ordinance is hereby approved by me, as
mayor of the City of South San Francisco, this 25th day of
