"A master fire alarm box at a location designated by the fire chief, this to be connected into the city fire alarm system. An annunciator shall be connected to the master alarm box and also to the fire alarm system in the building. Annunciator to have sufficient indicator lights to indicate what floor in the building the fire alarm has been pulled." Memorandum dated April 13, 1972, from Assistant Chief of Police, A. Terragno. "This Department strongly recommends the following changes: "1. North entrance to be a controlled fire lane, chained on both ends, or planted with some type of low shrubs. "2. Provide a roadway at rear of covered vehicle stalls by eliminU:ting the last two stalls in each section of each row. This would provide our patrol with complete access to the entire perimeter of the complex and enable management to regulate traffic flow. "3. Install garage door on all vehicle stalls to prevent theft and malicious mischief." I.O.M. dated April 14, 1972 from Landscape Specialist, John Hoffman "This office has reviewed the site plan submitted with subject Use Permit application. "Planning Commission should be aware that there is an existing concrete box culvert extending across the front of this site which will preclude the plant- ing of trees or shrubs as shown. Also, the future widening of Spruce Avenue will eliminate a substantial portion of the front landscaping. liMy recommendation: "Submittal of a revised site plan at the time of architectural review showing: !ll. Location of box culvert with suitable planting of turf over it. "2. Tree planting back of future sidewalk allowing for future widening of Spruce Avenue. "3. Additional planting adjacent to the east ends of the three structures housing the covered parking stalls. "4. All driveways, parking areas and vehicular maneuvering areas separated from adj acent planting by six-inch raised concrete curbs." - 3133 - UP-217 continued April 24, 1972 I.O.M. dated April 17, 1972 from Director of Public Works, Louis H. Goss nIt is recommended that this Use Permit be approved subject to the following conditions: "l. The 16' drive at the northerly portion of the property shall be limited to fire truck access only. "2. A left turn stacking lane for left turn movements southbound from Spruce onto Victory will be constructed later this year. This will preclude the possibility of a left turn movement by northbound traffic on Spruce into the development. A legal U-turn maneuver must be made available to this traffic. This will be accomplished by signalizing the Mayfair-South Canal-Spruce intersection. It is recommended that the developer enter into an agreement to pay one-half the City's share of the cost of the Mayfair-South Canal-Spruce signal installation- the developer's share not to exceed $10,000. "3. There is a conC1rete box culvert approximately one foot below the ground surface extending along the property frontage. Any landscaping should be accomplished with knowledge of this condition." * $lee nelow .
