MINUTES OF PREVIOUS ~ffiETING
Minutes of the Planning Commission meeting of September 24, 1974.
Commissioner Mullin moved that the minutes of the regular meeting of the
South San Francisco Planning Commission of September 24, 1974 be approved.
The motion was seconded by Commissioner Slade and was passed by the
following roll call vote.

ABSTAINED: Commissioner Lazzari
ANNOUNCEMENT CONCERNING TAPE RECORDING OF MEETING
Chairman Mathewson announced that this meeting of the South San Francisco
Planning Commission would be recorded on tape, but that anyone who wished
to come before the Commission to be heard, but who objected to having his
or her voice recorded in this manner, could request the Chairman to order
the tape recorder turned "off" for the duration of the time that he or she
is speaking or is heard.

After some discussion and clarification of a few conditions of the staff report,
Commissioner Lazzari moved that the Planning Commission approve UP-290 upon the
condition that the applicant comply with the submitted requirement of city
officials and recommend to the City Council for approval. Commissioner Teglia
seconded the motion and UP-290 was passed unanimously.
UP-29l, UP-292, UP-293, UP-294
Secretary Hale informed the Commission that UP-29l, UP-292, UP-293 and UP-294
were all by the same applicant and for a similar sign but at different locations.
All signs to be considered at the same time.

After considerafule discussion, the Planning Commission took the following
action:

Commissioner Raffaelli moved that the Planning Commission adopt the staff report
and approve the UP-29l subject to conditions that the applicant comply with the
submitted requirements of the City's reporting departments. The motion was
seconded by Commissioner Lezzari and was passed unanimously.

Commissioner Mullin moved that the Planning Commission adopt the staff report
and deny the UP-292. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Lazzari and was
passed unanimously.
UP-293
Vice Chairman Hale moved that the Planning Commission deny UP-293. The motion
died for a lack of second.
Commissioner Mullin moved that the Planning Commission adopt the staff report
and approve UP-293 subject to conditions that the applicant comply with the sub-
mitted requirements of the City's reporting departments. The motion was seconded
by Commissioner Lazzari and was passedby'bl1.ejf'o~lowing roll call vote.

After considerable discussion, Commissioner Slade moved that the Planning
Commission adopt the staff report and deny UP-294. The motion was seconded
Commissioner Mullin and was passed unanimously.

Secretary Hale informed the Commission that the next items - SA-3D, SA-3l,
Exchange of Common Greens and Vacation of Right-of-Way - were all by the same
applicant and all related to one project. All are to be considered at the same
time.

After some discussion, Vice Chairman Flale moved that the Planning Commission
adopt the staff report and approve UP-156 and recommend to the City Council
for Commissioner Raffaelli seconded the motion and it was
unanimously.
REPORTS
ARCHITECTURAL COM1\lITTEE APPOINTMENTS
I-Iale reported the matter in detail and asked the Commission to
approve the recommendation of the Interviewing Committee that the for
two new members be appointed to the Architectural Committee.

Commissioner Mullin moved that the Planning Commission approve the recommen-
dation of the Interviewing Committee and appoint the above two members to
the City's Architectural Committee. The matter is to be reviewed when any
