AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO APPROVING
THE ANNEXATION OF "'ALLEN ~DDITION" TO THE CITY OF SOUTH
8A~ FRANCISCO
The City Council of the City of South 8an Francisco does
ordain as follows=
~ the City Council of the City of South San Fran-
· elsco did, prior to the 21st day of November~ 19~ receive a
written petition from OLIYE~ M. ALLEN to a,nex to said City of
South San Franelseo the uninhabited territory hereinafter described;
and
WHEREA~ the territory hereinafter described is the ter-
ritory sought~ in said petition, to be included in said City of
South San Francisco and is in fact uninhabited territory and is
contiguous to said City of South San Franelscoi and
WHEREAS~ on the 21st day of November, 19~, said City
Council did pass its certain resolution giving notice of the pro-
posed annexation of the uninhabited territory hereinafter descrtbe~
to said City of 3curb San Francisco and did, in said resolUtion~
fix Tuesday, the 3rd day of January, 1956, at the hour of 8=00
o~clock P~M., in the Council Chamber in the City Hall of said City
of South San Francisco, as the time and place when and where any
person owning real property within the territory hereinafter de-
scribed, and so proposed to be annexed, and having any objections
to the proposed annexation of said territory ~ay appear before
said City Council and show cause why said territory should not be
~p annexed~ and did, in said resolution, find that said OLIVER M.
ALLEN is the owner of land comprising more than one-fourth(1/~)
of the area of the territory hereinafter described and represent-
ing ·ore than one-fourth (1/~) of the assessed value of said
territory~ according to the last preceding equalized ~ssessment
roll of the C<punty of San Marco; and said City Council did~ in
said resolutign, direct that the City Clerk of said City cause a

copy of said resolution to be published once a week for two (2)
successive weeks &t least twenty (20) days prior to the 3rd day
of January, 1955, in the South San Franeiseo Enterprise-Journal,
a weekly newspaper of general circulation published in said City
of South San Franciseo, and in the Advance-Star, & newspaper of
general' circulation published and circulated in the County of San
Mateo, in which county the territory hereinbefore referred to is
located; and
WHEREA~, said resolution was published in said South San
Francisco Enterprise-Journal on the following dates: Nove.ber 2~,
1955 and Dece.ber 1, 1955; and in the Advanee-Star on the follow-
ing date~s Ne~e.ber 2~, 19~ and Deee.ber 1, 1955; and
WHEREAS~, no persons have filed or .ade written or other
protest against the annexation of said territory, or any part
thereof, to said City of South San
NOW, THEREFORE, said City Council does ordain as follows:
Seetion 1. Said City Council does hereby deter.ine that
OLIVER M. ALLEN is the owner of land eoaprising .ore than one-
fourth (1/~) of the area of the territory hereinafter described
and representing .ore than one-fourth (1/~) of the assessed value
of said territory, aeeording to the last preceding equalized ass-
ess.ent roll of the Co,mnty of San Mateo, and that said land is in
faet uninhabited territory and is contiguous to said City of South
San Frane~seo.
Section 2. Said City Council declares any and all pro-
tests against such annexation to be overruled and does approve, an~
does hereby order, the annexation to said City of South San Fran-
cisco of the following described territory, situate in the County
of Sa.~ Marco, State of California., to be known as ~ALLEN ADDITION":
BEGINNING at a point on the northeasterly line of
Alida ~ay (for.erly A Street), which point is the
southerly corner of Lot 1, Block A, as shown on
said Map No. 1, Country Club Park; thence along
said northeasterly line of Alida Way North ~1°1~~
West 1~0 feet and northwesterly along a curve to
the left ta~.gent to the preceding course, with a
radius of 2~1.20 feet, an arc distance of 223.12
WARREN
feet tO,.the,southwesterly corner of Lot 3. as shown
on said.lap, thence along the northwesterly line of
said Lot_3 North 27°~9t23" East 3~.10 feet; thence
North 58°~f East'S5 feet to the southwesterly line
of E1 Casino Real; thenee alongsaid southwesterly
line South 31o1~~ East 510 feet; thence'South %8°~I'
West 255 feet to the point of beginning.
Seetion 3. This ordinance shall be published once, and
shall take effect and be in force upon the expiration of thirty
(30) days following its adoption.

Passed and adopted as an ordinance of the City of South
San Francisco at ~ regular leering of the City Council of
the City of South San Franicsco this 16th day of April
1956, by the following vote:

Richard Gamlen, Telford Smith
ABSENT, " None
