Chief Planner Sparks asked that item #5 be moved to the consent calendar due to staff and the applicant
requesting a continuance.

Industrial (P-I) Zoning District in accordance with SSFMC 20.81.090.

(14x48); 3) install a new monopole structure; 4) improve the illumination; and 5) double face the sign in the
Planned Commercial (P-C) Zoning District in accordance with SSFMC 20.76.170 & 20.86.
Motion Sim 1 Second Teglia to approve the Consent Calendar. Approved by unanimous voice vote.
PUBLIC HEARING
4. KC and L Seafood Inc.-Owner 1 Applicant Approved

P03-0123/UP03-0023 and Class 3 Section 15303 Conversion of existing structure to a new use with
only minor modifications
Use Permit to allow a seafood processing business to operate in the Planned Industrial (P- I) Zoning District in
accordance with SSFMC Chapters 20.32 and 20.81.
Associate Planner Kowalski presented the staff report.
Gilbert Lee, General Contractor, noted that they would comply with all the conditions of approval.
Commission comments:
The Commission commented on the smells and how the
smells would be mitigated.
They were concerned about the garbage pickup
schedule.
Applicants response:
Mr. Lee noted that there will be floor drains and the
area will be washed regularly.
Mr. Lee noted that Scavengers could be scheduled to
provide daily collection service.
Motion Sim 1 Second Zemke to approve P03-0123 and UP03-0023. Approved by unanimous voice vote.
ADMINISTRATIVE BUSINESS

Chief Planner Sparks wished the Commission a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Assistant City Attorney Johnson added that she would be on vacation and that the Commission can contact Steve
Mattas for questions.

Motion Honan 1 Second Giusti to adjourn the meeting. Approved by unanimous voice vote.
