AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION
OF CERTAIN UNINIqABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED "PONDEROSA HILLS" TO THE
CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO:
WI~REAS, on the 16th day of March 1959, the Council
of the City of South San Francisco did pass and adopt
Resolution No. 2750 giving notice of the proposal to annex
certain uninhabited territory to the City of South San
Francisco, said territory being therein designated as
"Ponderosa Hills", said Resolution describing the boundaries
of the territory proposed to be annexed; and
WHE~, said Resolution No. 2750 did contain a
notice of the day, hour and place when and where the Council
of the City would hear protests made by any person owning real
property within the territory proposed to be annexed, the time
of said hearing being not less than forty (40) nor more than
sixty (60) days from the date of passage of said Resolution;
and
WHEREAS, on the 4th day of May 1959, at the hour
of 8:00 p.m. in the Council Cbmmbers in the City Hall of the
citY of South San Francisco, County of San Marco, State of
California, said time and place being the day, hour and place
fixed in said Resolution No. 2750 for hearing protests to the
said annexation, the said City Council did at said hearing
hear protests made to the proposed annexation and did there-
after continue said hearing to the 18th day of May 1959 at
the hour of 8:00 pom. in said Council Chambers to further
hear protests, after which said hearing was contined to the
1st day of June 1959 at the hour of 8:00 pom. in said Council
Chambers to further hear protests, after which said hearing
was continued to the 1Sth day of June 1959 at the hour of
8:00 p.m. in said Council Chambers to further hear protests
to the said annexation and the said City Council did complete
the hearing and did pass upon all protests made to the
proposed annexation and did determinethat protests had not
been made by the owners of one-half of the value of the
privately owned territory proposed to be annexed as shown by
the last equalized assessment roll, nor by public owners of
one-half of the value of the publicly owned territory proposed
to> be annexed as determined by said legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City
of South San Francisco, and is uninhabited territory in the
County of San Mat°o, State of California;
NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the City of
South San Francisco does hereby approve the annexation of
the territory hereinafter described to the City of South San
Francisco, and does hereby further ordain that the said
territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of South San
Francisco.
That said territory, the annexation of which to
the City of. South San Francisco is herein approved, is all
that territory situate in the County of San Mat°o, State of
California, more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the City
Limits Line of the City of South San Francisco as
established by Ordinance No. 249 adopted August 19,
1946, with the northwesterly line of Ponderosa Road,
as said road is shown on that certain map entitled,

"AVALON PARK NO. 3, SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA",
whi=h map was filed in the office of the Recorder
of the County of San Mateo on the 28th day of July,
1954, in Volume 39 of maps at Pages 46 and 47, said
point of intersection being the most northerly corner
o f said AVALON PARK NO. 3.

or less to a point of intersection of said northwest-
erly line with the northwesterly line of that certain
annexation to the City of South San Francisco by
Ordinance No. 368 adopted July 18 1955 (Kiiski Addi-
tion); thence South 31o 17' 40" ~st 259.08 feet more
or less alonE said northwesterly line of said annexa-
tion to a point of intersection with the northeasterly
corner of that certain annexation to the City of South
San Francisco by Ordinance No. 422 adopted December 2,
1957, (florner-Bonino Territory); thence alonE the
northwesterly line of said annexation South 580 42'
20" t4est 139.91 feet; thence continuinE alonE the line
of said annexation South 31° 17' 40" East 126.31 feet
to a point in the City Limits Line on the northwest-
erly boundary of Lot 17, Block 15, as said lot is shown
on that certain Map entitled, "AVALON PARK NO. 4 SOUTH
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA", which map was filed in the
office of the Recorder of the County of San Mateo on
the 13th day of June, 1956, in Volume 45 of Maps at
page 27; thence along said City Limits Line, South 53°
00' West 68.30 feet; thence South 31o 57' West 192.88
feet to a point on Lot 10, Block 15, in said AVALON
PA~ NO. 3; Zhence continuinE alone ~id City Limits
Line, North 85° 58' West 182.69 feet; thence South 77°
52' 30" West 180.50 feet; thence North 31° l?' 40" west
269.69 feet to the point of beEinninE.

Passed and adopted as an ordinance of the City of
South San Francisco at a regular meetinE of the City Council
of the City of South San Francisco this 6th day of july
1959, by the followinE vote:
