ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION
OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED "PARKW~D CO~UNITY
METHODIST CHURCH ANNEXATION" TO THE
CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO:
WHEREAS, on the 21st day of August 1961, the
Council of the City of South San Francisco did pass and
adopt Resolution No. 3264 giving notice of the proposal to
annex certain uninhabited territory to the City of South
San Francisco, said territory being therein designated as
"Parkwood Community Methodist Church Annexation", said
Resolution describing the boundaries of the territory pro-
posed to be annexed, and
WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 3264 did contain a
notice of the day, hour and place when and where the Council
of the City would hear protests made by any person owning
real property within the territory proposed to be annexed,
the time of said hearing being not less than forty (40)
nor more than sixty (60) days from the date of passage of
said Resolution, and
WHEREAS, on the 2nd day of October 1961, at the hour
of 8:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the
City of South San Francisco, County of San Marco, State of
California, said time and place being the day, hour and
place fixed in said Resolution No. 3264 for hearing protests
to the said annexation, the said City Council did hear and
pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and
did determine that protests had not been made by the owners
of one-half of the value of the privately owned territory
proposed to be annexed as shown by the last equalized assess-
ment roll, nor by public owners of one-half of the value of
the publicly owned territory proposed to be annexed as
determined by said legislative body, and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City
of South San Francisco and is uninhabited territory in the
County of San Marco, State of California, and
WHEREAS, the owners of said territory have given
and executed their written consent as provided by law that
the property within the annexed territory shall upon annexa-
tion be taxed and subject to taxation to pay any indebtedness
or liability of the City of South San Francisco contracted
prior to or existing at the time of annexation on the same
basis as property is taxed throughout said City, which
written consent is presently on file with the City Clerk of
said City.
NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the City of
South San Francisco does hereby approve the annexation of
the territory hereinafter described to the City of South
San Francisco, and does hereby further ordain that the
said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of
South San Francisco and is designated "Parkwood Community
Methodist Church Annexation".

That said territory, the annexation of which to
the City of South San Francisco is herein approved, is all
that territory situate in the County of San Marco, State
of California, more particularly described as follows:
A portion of the Southeasterly 25 feet of Alta Vista
Drive, (formerly Fairway Drive) and lots 16 and 17, Block C,
as designated on that certain map entitled, "TRACT NO. 534,
MAP NO. 1 COUNTRY CLUB PARK" recorded May 9th, 1941, in Volume
23 of Maps at Pages 54, 55 and 56, San Mateo County Records,
more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the
Southwesterly line of said Lot 17 with the north-
erly corporate limits line of the City of South
San Francisco as said corporate limits line was
established by Ordinance No. 238 passed and adopted
by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco on May 28th, 1945; thence leaving said
corporate limits along said Southwesterly line of
Lot 17 and the Northwesterly prolongation thereof,
North 31° 15' West 305.00 feet to the center line
of Alta Vista Drive, (Fairway Drive on said map);
thence along said center line North 58° 45' East
280.00 feet to the point of intersection of the
Northwesterly prolongation of the Northeasterly
line of said Lot 16; thence along said prolonga-
tion and said Northeasterly line of Lot 16, South
31° 15' East a distance of 305.00 feet to the
Easterly corner of said Lot 16 and a point in
said corporate limits of South San Francisco;
thence along the Southeasterly line of said Lots
16 and 17 and said corporate limlts South 58° 45'
West 280.00 feet to the point of beginning.

Passed and adopted as an ordinance of the City of
South San Francisco at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of South San Francisco this 4th day
of December, 19 61 , by the following vote:
