HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 26-2006 RESOLUTION NO. 26-2006 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY COUNCIL TO ACCEPT $100,000.00 FROM THE STATE UNDER THE SUPPLEMENTAL LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES FUND (SLESF) PROGRAM AND AMEND THE DEPARTMENT'S staff recolnmends the acceptance of $100,000 frOln the State under the Supplemental Law Enforcelnent Services Fund ("SLESF") Progrmn and amend the Department's budget accordingly; and $1 1 to create a new to auglnent local law enforcement efforts. City received $132,438.20 as one-tilne supplemental funding for front line police activities; and WHEREAS, City has continued to receive funding on a yearly basis; and WHEREAS, staff is aware that State will continue the SLESF progrmn for the 2005-2006 fiscal year. City's $100,000 allohnent will be used to supplement current personnel costs; and WHEREAS, to track expenditures for the SLESF, Fund 39 has been established; and WHEREAS, the entire mnount is provided by the State and there are no general funding obligations. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby authorizes acceptance of the $100,000.00 from the State under the Supplelnental Law Enforcelnent Services Fund. * * * * * I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the lOth day of May 2006 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmelnbers Mark N. Addiego, Pedro Gonzalez and Karyl Matsumoto, Vice Mayor Richard A. Garbarino and Mayor Joseph A. Femekes ABSENT:
