HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 29-2006 RESOLUTION NO. 29-2006 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING AND A PERMIT TO ENTER AMONG BART, SAMTRANS AND THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO IN CONNECTION WITH THE BIKE PATH/LINEAR PARK WHEREAS, staff recommends approving a Memorandum of Understanding and a Permit to Enter among San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District ("BART"), the San Mateo County Transit District ("SamTrans") and the City of South San Francisco (the "City") for the construction and operation of the Bike Path/Linear Park; and WHEREAS, to date a total of $4,018,117 in grant funds and gas tax funds have been awarded for this project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby authorizes a Memorandum of Understanding and Permit to Enter with BART and SamTrans in connection with the Bike Path/Linear Park. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the Memorandum of Understanding and Permit to Enter on behalf of the City of South San Francisco. * * * * * I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted bl the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 24 day of May 2006 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Mark N.
