AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
APPROVING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF SOUTH
SAN FR~NCISCO OF CERTAIN INHABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED AS '~THE WESTBOROUGH INHABITED AREA.~
~{EREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation
Act of 1913, and pursuant to Ordinance No. 505 adopted by
the City Council of the City of South San Franc_[sco on the
15~h day of June , 1964, a special election was
held on the 11~ day of A~8~ , 1964, in inhabited
territory contiguous to the City of South San Francisco desig-
nated as "The Westborough Inhabited Area~' and which is herein-
after more particularly described, and
WHEREAS, at said special elaction the following question
was submitted to the qualified electors residing in said
territory:
~'SHALL 'THE ~STBOROUGH INHABITED AREA' BE ANNEXED
TO THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FtLANCISCO, AND THE PROPERTY
IN SUCH TERRITORY BE, AFTER SUCH ANNEXATION, SUB-
JECT TO TAXATION EQUALLY WITH THE PROPERTY WITHIN
THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, TO PAY THE ENTIRE
BONDED INDEBTEDNESS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRAN-
CISCO OUTSTANDING OR AUTHORIZED AT THE DATE OF
THE FIRST PUBLICATION OF THE NOTICE OF ELECTION,
FOR THE ACQUISITION, CONSTRUCTION OR COMPLETION
OF MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENTS?'I
and,
WHEREAS, it appears from the canvass of the returns of the
votes cast at the special election that a majority of all votes
cast in sai~ territory on the question of annexation and
the assumption of said indebtedness favor annexation upon the
terms contained in the question submitted, and
WHEREAS, it appears that the special election amd all
proceedings relating thereto have been conducted strictly in
accordance with the law~
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of South San Francisco does
ordain as follows:
1. That the annexation of inhabited territory contiguous
to the City of South San Francisco designated as ~The West-
borough Inhabited Areav' be and the same hereby is approved
upon the terms contained in the aforesaid question which ~as
submitted at the special election held on the llth day of
A~gust , 1964. Said territory is described as
follows:
WESTBOROUGH INHABITED AREA ANNEXATION
All that certain real property situate in the County of San
Mateo State of California, being Tracts 796, 798, 802 and 808
Westboroughmore particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the most easterly corner of Lot 12 in Block 15,
as said Lot and Block are shown on the map entitled "TRACT NO.
808, ~ESTBOROUGHU~I~ NO. 2, SAN MATEO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA",
filed September 14, 1962 in Book 56 of Maps at Pages 43, 44 and
45, San Mateo County Records; thence along the general north-
easterly boundary of the subdivision shown on said map, the
following ;ourses: N 60055. W 90.00 feet, N 29°05' E 78.22
feet, N 55v28' ~ 925.61 feet; thence tangent to the preceding
course northwesterly along the arc of a curve to the right
having a radius of 490.00 feet and a central angle of 13°53',
an arc distance of 118.73 feet; thence tangent to the preced-
ing curve N 41035, 472.82 feet; thence tangent to the pre-
ceding course northwesterly along the arc of a curve to the
right having a radius of 300.00 feet and a central angle of
67015', an arc distaDce of 352.12 feet; thenge tangent to the
prec~ding curve N 25v40' E_264.53 feet, N 64020' ~o150.00 feet,
S 25v40' W 5.00 feet, N 64020' W 559.75 feet, N 76 39'51"
154.82 feet, and from a ~n§ent that bears N 6°15' W, along the
arc of a curve to the left having a radius of 530.00 feet and
a central angle of 19040'46'', an arc distance of 182.04 feet to
the most northerly corner of Parcel C in Block 23, as said Parcel
and Block are shown on said map; thence along the northwesterly
line of said Parcel C, Block 23, S 59012' W 80.09 feet, and
tangent to the preceding course southwesterly along the arc of
a curve tOothe right having a radius of 745.00 feet and a central
angle of 0 12'13", an a~c distance of 2.65 feet to the north-
easterly corner of the subdivision shown on the map entitled
"TRACT NO. 802, WESTBOROUGHUNIT NO. 1C, SAN MATEO COUNTY,
CALIFORNIA", recorded May 1, 1962 in Book 56 of Maps at Pages
14 and 15, San Mateo County Records; thence along the general
northerly line of said subdivi~ion the following courses:
from a tangent that bears S 59v24'13" W, along the arc of a
curve to thfi right having a radius of 745.00 feet and a central

feet, thence from a tangent that bears S 75°05' W alon§ the
arc of a curve to the ri~t having a radius of 745.00 feet and
a central angle of 44°50r31', an arc distance of 583.07 feet,
thence N 60o04'29'' ~ 115.02 feet to the northeasterly corner of
the subdivision shown on the map entitled "TRACT NO. 798,
WESTBOROUDH UNIT NO. lB, SAN MATEO COUNTY, C~LLIFORNIA",
corded September 13, 1961 in. Book 55 of Maps at Pages 16 and
17, San Mateo County Records, thence along the general northerly
line of said subdivision the following courses: N 60~04'~9''

2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
ordinance and cause it to be published once in the Enterprise-
Journal, a newspaper of general circulation, published and cir-
culated in said City, as required by law, ~ithin fifteen (lJ)
days after its passage·

Passed and adopted as an ordinance of the City of South San
Francisco at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco this 8~h day of September ,
