Art Exhibit – February 11/12, 2022 ▪ Commissioner Hobson-Coard presented “Momentum: Moving Forward” as theme of February’s art exhibit, and confirmed with Specialist Santos that an exhibit notice will be included in the Department’s quarterly Winter Activity Guide. ▪ Commissioner Ramos suggested acceptance of video submissions to exhibit, given a capped time limit and file size. ▪ Exhibit not yet confirmed as in-person or virtual, which may complicate display of video submissions should event be held in-person. ▪ Commissioner DeNatale suggested artists submit work both digitally and physically to increase accessibility to our shows. If SMC grant is awarded to commission, this may be something to dedicate grant towards. ▪ Commissioner Hobson-Coard voiced concern that hybrid event would limit in person participation or foot traffic to show; Specialist Santos suggested virtual link to go live after the in-person exhibit. ▪ Commissioner Foley proposed fundraising at the exhibit.
