Chief Planner Sparks noted that there were no changes to the agenda but informed the Commission that 111
Chestnut Avenue was not ready for review by the Commission and would be continued off calendar.

Chestnut Avenue situated in the Medium Density Residential Zoning District (R-2-H) in accordance with SSFMC Title
19 and Chapters 20.78 & 20.85.
Motion Giusti / Second Sim to approve the Consent Calendar. Approved by unanimous voice vote.

6-Month Review: Use Permit to allow outdoor storage of trucks and extended hours of operation from 6 AM to 2
AM in the M-1 Industrial Zoning District in accordance with SSFMC 20.30.040 (a) and 20.30.040 (b).
Categorical Exemption Class 1 Section 15301 Existing Facilities
Chief Planner Sparks presented the staff report. He added that condition of Approval 9 was added to allow the
applicant and owner of the building to paint the building within 45 days. If the building is not painted the
Commission can take decide at that point what they wish to do.

Sheryl Ringlemen, Double Day, noted that the property owner has agreed to paint the south wall only.
Public Hearing opened. There being no speaker the Public Hearing was closed.
Commissioner Honan asked if the entire building was going to be repainted and not just the south wall. Chief
Planner Sparks replied that the entire exterior is required to be painted.
Motion Romero / Second Zemke to amend the conditions of Approval to allow 45 additional days for the
applicant and owner to paint the building. Approved by majority voice vote.

Categorical Exemption: Class Section 1, 15301 Existing Facilities
Chief Planner Sparks presented the staff report.
Marc Tonelli, applicant, noted that they are applying for a Use Permit to have storage within the building and avoid
junk cars being seen by the neighborhood.
Public Hearing opened. There being no speakers the Public Hearing was closed.

Motion Honan / Second Giusti to approve P04-0089 & UP04-0025. Approved by unanimous voice vote.

ferry rides.
