AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 212,
AS AMENDED, TO INCREASE THE NUMBER
OF RECREATION COMMISSION MEMBERS~
AND PROVIDE FOR RELATED MATTERS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. AMENDMENT OF SECTIONS 1, 2, AND 12 OF ORDINANCE
212, AS AMENDED.
Sections 1, 2 and 12 of Ordinance 212, passed March 3,
19417 and as amended, are hereby amended to read:
Section 1. Recreation Commission; Members of.
A Recreation Commission is hereby
created, which shall consist of seven members, who
shall be electors of the City appointed by the
Mayor with the approval of the City Council.
Section 2. Terms.
The term of office for each member
of said Commission shall be three years, and
until his successor is appointed and qualified.
The following designates the Commission
officers and expiration dates therefor to estab-
lish a base date for future appointments or reappoint-
ments:
Commissioner 1 January 1, 1973

Section 12. Quorum.
Four members of the Recreation Com-
mission shall constitute a quorum for the transaction
of business. In the absence of a quorum, no busi-
ness shall be transacted by the Commission, except
that the members present may adjourn such meeting
to a particular time. Written notice of such adjourn-
ment shall be given to all members not present at such
adjournment at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to
the time to which such adjournment may be' taken. A
majority of the quorum present shall have authority
to act on any matter regularly coming before the Com-
mission.
SECTION II. PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
This Ordinance shall be published once in the "Enterprise-
Journal," a newspaper of general circulation in the City of
South San Francisco, as required by law, and shall become
effective thirty (30) days from and after its adoption.

of the City of South San Francisco this 6th day of
November , 19 72 , by the following vote:
