COMMUNICATIONS: a)Circulation, Reference Questions&LiteracyServicesStatistics (Attachment #1) b)Library Articles, Issues & Programs (Attachment #2) c)BoardAttendance Chart (Attachment #3) OLDBUSINESS New Main Library and Parks & Recreation Community Center Project Update Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, there will be no groundbreaking event for the new Main Library and Community Center.Preparation and digging for the building has begun. Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E) phase is still in process for the project. Completion of the building is tentatively set for spring of 2023. Library Policies Chart Review The Library Board of Trustees reviewed the Library Policies chart. Amendments to policies will be put on hold to reflect necessary revisions due to the pandemic.Time permitting, the ID Required to Obtain Library Card Policy will be reviewed first. South San Francisco Public Library Board of TrusteesPage 2Unapproved Minutes –February 23, 2021 NEWBUSINESS Library Reopening Plans –Adam Elsholz, Assistant Library Director San Mateo County has moved into the red tier. A presentation was made by Assistant Library Director, Adam Elsholz, tothe Library Board of Trustees for Library reopening plans. State and County guidance will be used for all safety measures. Library service phases will be based on the tiers: Purple tier will allow for core services including curbside pickup and books by mail; Red tier will allow for the reopening of the computer lab at the Community Learning Center and a limited self-service holds lobby; Orange tier will allowfor reopening of printing stations, self- service lobby and browse by appointment; and the yellow tier will allow for browsing without an appointment. Out of School Program –Karla Bourdon, Literacy Services Manager & Mary Ann Cordova, Literacy ServicesCoordinator Presentation of the Out of School Program from Literacy Services staff has been postponed. AGENDA BUILDING NewCommunity Civic Center Campus Update; COVID-19 Response and Recovery Plans. ANNOUNCEMENTS Normal walk-in Library services and programs are suspended while County health orders in regards to the COVID-19 health emergency are in place. Virtual Tech Drop-In services are available through Zoom.
