CONSENT CALENDAR
1. Motion to approve the minutes of May 24, 2006
2. Motion to confirm expense claims of June 14,2006 in the amount of$165,122.52
3. Resolution authorizing environmental oversight agreement with the State of California
Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Toxic Substances Control for 27 South
Linden A venue site
Councilman Addiego requested the item be removed from the Consent Calendar.
4. Motion to accept construction of new Fire Station 61 and Fire Administration Project as
complete in accordance with the approved plans and specifications
Motion-Garbarino/Second-Matsumoto: To approve the Consent Calendar, with the
exception of Item No.3. Unanimously approved by voice vote.
Item No.3: City Engineer Razavi and City Attorney Mattas responded to Councilman
Addiego's questions and reviewed the purpose of the agreement, informing Council that
the previolJs owner has no obligation regarding clean-up, DTSC plan approval process,
and the immunities received under state law (Polanco Act) by implementing this process.
Motion-Addiego/Second-Gonzalez: To approve Resolution No. 11-2006, authorizing the
Executive Director to enter into an environmental oversight agreement with the State of
California Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Toxic Substances Control
(DTSC). Unanimously approved by voice vote.
ADJOURNMENT
Being no further business, Chairman Fernekes adjourned the meeting at 7:05 p.m.
