HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 58-2006 RESOLUTION NO. 58-2006 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION CHANGING THE NAME OF BA YSHORE BOULEVARD TO AIRPORT BOULEVARD WHEREAS, in February 2006, staff received a request to clarify the street nmne signs at the intersection of Bayshore Boulevard-Airport Boulevard and Sister Cities Boulevard- Oyster Point Boulevard; and WHEREAS, the Traffic Advisory Committee ("T AC") reviewed the request and recommended that Bayshore Boulevard be renmned Airport Boulevard frOln Sister Cities Boulevard-Oyster Point Boulevard to the city limits with City of Brisbane; and WHEREAS, the nmne change is recolnmended due to numerous complaints and confusion on the roadway when Inotorists exit southbound Route 101 at the new hook-ramp north of Sister Cities/Oyster Point Boulevards; and WHEREAS, no additional funding is required to replace the existing street name signs, the cost of replacement of the street signs shall be charged to general street Inaintenance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council approves the changing of the nmne of Bayshore Boulevard to Airport Boulevard. * * * * * I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 26th day of July 2006 by the following vote: AYES: Councihnembers Mark N.
