AN ORDINANCE APPROVING ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRI-
TORY TO THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, DESIGNATED LANDS OF
GMT INVESTORS IN THE VICINITY OF THE CARL SANDBURG SCHOOL SITE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, on the 2rd day of August, 1977, the Local Agency Formation
Commission of the County of San Mateo did pass and adopt Resolution No. 520
entitled "Resolution of Local A§ency Formation Commission of the County of
San Mateo Making Determination and Approving the Proposed Annexation of
Territory, Designated as the Lands of GMT Investors (0.46 Acres) in the Vicin-
ity of the Carl Sandbur§ School Site to the City of South San Francisco
Pursuant to Government Code Section 54797.1," which Resolution described
the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of South
San Francisco, and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of South San Fran-
cisco and is uninhabited territory in the County of San Mateo, State of
California, and
WHEREAS,, the owners of said territory have given and executed their
written consent as provided by law that the property within the annexed terr~-
tory shall be annexed to the City of South San Francisco, and
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of San
Mateo, pursuant to Government Code Section 25015, has given its approval and
authorization, pursuant to Government Code Section 54797.1, to annex said
territory without notice, hearing or election; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the City of South San Francisco
does hereby:
1. Approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter described
to the City of South San Francisco, and does further ordain that the said
territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of South San Francisco and
''is designated: "Lam~[Jf GMT Investors (0.46 Acres)",(,ich territory is
more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and bythis
reference incorporated herein.
2. Directs the City Clerk to prepare and file the following with
the San Mateo County Local Agency Formation COmmission: (a) six certified
copies of the ordinance approving the annexation, (b) six copies of the map
and legal description of the boundaries affected by the annexation, and (c)'
a check made payable to the State Board of Equalization for the filing and
processing fess in accordance with Government Code Section 54797.2 and
related sections.
3. Directs the City Clerk to prepare and file an affidavit of com-
pletion with the San Mateo County Recorder in accordance with Government
Code Section 34080 and related sections.
This Ordinance shall be published once in the Enterprise-Journal, a
newspaper of general circulation in the City of South San Francisco, as required
by law, and shall become effective thirty (30) days from and after its adoption.
