ATTENDANCE Library Trustees present:Mary Giusti,Liru Chin,and Claire Ramsey.Library Staff present: Valerie Sommer, Library Director;andElia Moreno,Administrative Assistant II; APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion to approve the minutesas presentedfromtheMay24,2022,meeting was madeby Liru Chin Secretary andsecondedby Claire Ramsey, Board Member.Roll call vote: Yes: Vice President, Mary Giusti; Secretary, Liru Chin; and Board Member, Claire Ramsey. OLD BUSINESS New Main Library and Parks & Recreation Community Center Project(LPR)Update The glass panel installation is nearly complete there are only 6 sections yet to be installed on the El Camino Real side of the building. Unfortunately, some of the glass panels were damaged upon delivery or during installation and arewaiting for replacements.Installation of utilities is in progress including fire suppression, water, electrical and more. Donor wall options are currently being explored, both, static displays,and possible digital options. Selection of FF&E is in progress; further specification of audio/ visual priorities, zoom connectivity prioritylocations and costs.Due ensure in time delivery for the opening of the building,including Library security gates and AMH system. Adjustments are being made to the landscape design to ensure plants do not obscure signage to the new building. AGENDA BUILDING NewCommunity Civic Center Campus Update;Amended Library Use Policy and Library Materials Selection,Deselectionand Access Policy updates;Library | Parks & RecreationRoom Names; Project Read VITA Program;Bulletin Board and Free Literature Policy update. ANNOUNCEMENTS Holiday Schedule: All Library facilities, including Main and Grand Libraries and the Community rdth Learning Center, will be closed on Sunday, July 3and Monday, July 4in observance of Independence Day. The South San Francisco Public Library Book Club meets virtually via Zoom on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 P.M. The Julybook club selection is The Dutch HousebyAnn Patchett. As part of our Summer Learning Challenge, NorCal Bats will th be making a virtual presentation on Saturday, July 9beginning at 2:00 PM. Register hereto learn about bats and their value in the natural world. SSFPL is honored to, once again, partner with the San Mateo County History Museum for their annual Victorian Days Walking Tour! Learn the fascinating early hist rd main thoroughfare, Grand Avenue, on Saturday, July 23, 10:00 AM.
